until 2020, sony didn’t ported any games on pc, and you are saying they aren’t gonna change, gimme a break vulture
Indifferent towards all of this. If this backfires for the Xbox ecosystem side of things then i will be rightfully pissed.
I just feel like the priority for them is just ports for playstation and Nintendo. Zero stuff from those two coming to Xbox would lessen the blow considerably. Cause it makes the Xbox store feel less viable long term if there’s zero exclusives.
Yeah, that’s my current feelings on the whole deal. I made my decision decided that am getting a PC handheld by the next gen and only buying games that are play anywhere on Xbox store as that is the only guarantee i have with my current library, if that even exist by the time i do get one, given how sweet old Satya loves axing everything under the sun that does not make money for him.
I swear, constant search for money will destroy the brand in some shape or form.
I think alot of people in the coming generation won’t get an Xbox if they do not give any reasons for why current customers should care about the hardware next gen if there is no game that is exclusive to the ecosystem. Gamepass by itself is not sufficent in all honesty, i get annoyed when people think it is just that.
Honestly, i just want to be validated that me, as a customer, will have the best for my buck in the next ten or so years. While they mentioned hardware, they are gonna need to be a bit more upfront and honest about their criteria for current customers to make viable decisions for next year.
I just think its unfortunate timing as too early for the next gen reveal which would probably alleviate a lot of concerns as love my xbox hardware. My wording on dismiss was kinda on that point of game pass cancels it all out but then if people only play 1 or 2 games why subscribe. Maybe some opportunities in there. I really hope the whole industry shifts to this model long term but its always a bit strange being first if any of that makes sense.
mlb looking at this:
Good to know that @Mort isn’t alone and has company.
Keep things civil or the thread has to go on slow mode and no one wants that.
What? I don’t knwo who you are reffering to. No offense.
I dunno, this feels like the whole TV debacle from 2013, where Xbox focused too much on one thing and ignored the more important thing, the current user. Which is something i feel many don’t see, i want people to critique and demand better for the hardware and its userbase, not the way around where it feels like Higher Ups ignore user’s genuine concerns in favor of short term money profits from rival.
you want people to demand ms copying 360?
Not really, what i would genuiely want, as a customer is more games from all sorts of places coming to xbox instead off constantly ignored which currently is not the case and this fear is not exactly unfound if we look at the amount Sony moneyhatted and will moneyhat as well as this strategy continues and Xbox gains next to nothing in terms of exclusives.
I just feel like their priority this year is only on porting instead of delivery games to its ecosystem and not forcing Sony and Nintendo to play ball, which they could but are refusing to do so, which annoys me to no end.
I would change my tone instantly if games from Playstation were available to acquire in Xbox Stores. Which is not the case unless something changes drastically this year, which has not.
Chapter 3
Peace
This isn’t reality, though? We’re going in circles where you are inventing something that isn’t happening. There’s better 3rd party support than ever, and their 1st party is putting out more than anyone. At some point this conversation needs time before it continues, because it’s just the same points over and over.
I think we all should expect that Xbox is a third party company right now and nothing wrong with that. My question is why they need to make a new console and what for if they going to release their games everywhere? They should try putting Game Pass on PS and Switch and be done with it.
They’re not a “third party company” they’re an “everywhere company”. Their own store matters more than anything, and their plans seem to be focused on essentially dominating everywhere. Game Pass only works on their own platform, in its current iteration. They’re making 24 billion in a year with this setup. The “old” system is broken if you’re not Nintendo, and even they may need to shift things in the future to grow. It’s not about current health, it’s about growth.
Doens’t feel like it is since they are constantly prioritizing putting games on other platforms instead of investing in their own by making more efforts with other third party studios like the Black Myth Wukong and many others, who are skipping.
At Xbox, we all win, right? So where’s that currently?
Also what about exclusives? Will Xbox truly not have nothing of that sort? Cause that would be a letdown by many.
Question, what happens to the health of gamepass if people leave to other platforms due to multiplatform push? Even though growth stagnated on console, but there’s a lot of risk of losing subscribers if they leave to other platforms due to multiplatfrom push.
I am still in the camp that has been with the brand for many years, so I will wait and see their plans. I just feel uncertainty and lack of trust could backfire on them. They need to address how they’re going to carry over our library and if they’re actually going to allow steam, EGS, GOG and other storefronts on next xbox.
Do you think they are sunsetting the Xbox Series in order to release the new hardware that won’t be subsidized?
That would explain the hardware drop. They are not shipping many units anymore.
You are willfully ignoring reality to paint a worst case scenario, over and over again. They’re getting MORE 3rd party support, not less.
They feel like people are locked in to their ecosystems, now. Phil has stated already that he wants to attract people to the “Xbox” hardware by differentiating what they can offer. I think it’s a near-lock that steam/egs/etc are available on the next Xbox.
Yes, I think they’re OK with not continuing to lose upwards of $200 per console for a while.
Starting to get sick of the same crap from the same people over and over and over again.
Is there a way to permanently block/ignore certain users? I only see “until tomorrow/weekend.”
Click on their profile and change the notifications setting on the right from Normal to Ignored.
Yeah, that’s what I tried. But I only get the until tomorrow/weekend options.
Might be a mobile thing. I’ll try again on the PC tomorrow.
