Xbox multi platform discussion

Yep, Im more concerned with my account, my game saves and all the games I’ve bought over the last 23 years then what plastic box I play them on.

Xbox is more ready then any other platform holder for a post console world. When that happens Xbox users will be in mich better shape.

This 100%. As long as I still have access to my games etc, lets rock’n’roll.

I’m one of those who don’t go on what people spend on their brand; So many of the shill Social Media Influencers have way more impressive setups and way more games than most diehards but they have no true love for a brand

I’ve no idea what makes one a hard-core gamer… maybe playing games in certain sexual positions LOL and IMO when people need to say they’re a Hard Core gamer they’re not.

When I say I die-hard I mean people who have love and genuine interest in that brand. The ones who go without holidays, work extra time to make sure they have the money for their brand console or games the ones who used to import simply because they couldn’t wait to play the new game on that system.

That sort of dedication to a brand like the ones who give up half their life to support their favourite sporting team or music star

I don’t look to belittle people who have a love and dedication to a brand. Not a fan of the modern notion of having the biggest collection of games going and making sure to have them all displayed in the background of your setups to prove you’re such a fan.

To understand that almost child like mentality you have to be one yourself. It gets really sad when a phoned in sick for work when one is too upset to go in and face the world because of a bloody console maker pulling out of the market like I did.

Thank Christ, those days are behind me

What an embarrassing non-sensical diatribe. I don’t love brands. I buy systems to play games. Brand worship is mental illness.

Wonderful, to see someone with no allegiance and more than happy for everything Xbox to be on PlayStation.

PS and Switch 2 paying for me getting more games in my gamepass sub makes me happy!

I get that and I’m in that camp to a point.

There are people out there who will fall for and get attached to a brand, a celebrity, a music band or a TV series and when that happens those people wholeheartedly support them, cheer for them and well sometimes worship them

People like Searsy82 might look to mock them but I know people who were upset when Take That broke up and one person who physically cried when the TV series Freinds finished.

There are people like that when it comes to consoles. I got attached to SEGA and it all started with my mother getting me a Master System in Christmas 97. As pathetic and nerdy as it sounds I feel for the company and only supported SEGA consoles and was upset when SEGA consoles were no more.

That’s the reason I went with Xbox as I looked at the original Xbox as a Dreamcast 2. I’ve only gamed on Xbox consoles since and must be one of the few out there who was more than happy with the VHS Xbox One

I would be devastated if Xbox pulled out of the console hardware game and Microsoft went back to pre-2001 MS Games studio’s days. I don’t want to have to buy a PlayStation or Nintendo console or a gaming PC. I’m attached to Xbox consoles as sad as it sounds for an adult male to say.

Great news, Xbox already said they’re making a new one, so you’ve got at least a decade to go

Xbox says lots of things only to go back on their word

Leave this thread. You cannot function if you believe every single thing is a lie. I cannot imagine living with that level of paranoia, it cannot be healthy.

One can function ok and one also didn’t say everything is a lie, just lots.
So can we leave hysterical replies and asking people to leave, it is not healthy or courteous.

https://x.com/jasonschreier/status/1856669788212240639 After releasing the first batch of Xbox games for Sony Group Corp.’s PlayStation and Nintendo Co.’s Switch, Spencer is pleased with the results. Microsoft will do more of that, he said, and won’t rule out any game in Microsoft’s stable.

“I do not see sort of red lines in our portfolio that say ‘thou must not,’ ” he said. It’s too early to make any sort of decision on the next version of Halo, he said.

Pretty much as I thought. I know some were hoping certain flagship titles were off the table and for Xbox to come out and say as much, but the reality is such, that if the next Halo comes out and underperforms on Xbox and PC, a potential saving grace is to port it to PS and Switch 2.

No business is going to outright refuse to make that decision because of the online perception if there’s an opportunity to make money.

This is literally what was said earlier this year though, and more importantly for the fear mongers, Satya also explicitly stated we’ll still have exclusives, as they’re still an essential component to growth (almost verbatim).

Yeah, it’s still case by case, and I assume not all games/franchises will be ported over.

“No red line” isn’t even new. This is from May

They need to hurry up and get Halo/Horizon over. My friends and I have been itching to play together again.

If they port everything over to PS, they might finally push me away. Buying two consoles at $1000 each next gen when only one will have all the games is something I’m not sure I can justify.

Horizon gotta be a very tough decision. On one hand, it’s surely gonna do incredibly well on PS, on the other, it’s the most closest to an Xbox seller they have, it’s the only game I’ve seen a considerable number of people get an Xbox specifically for… it’s very hard to decide. Halo would also be hard to decide but I think Halo fans are always gonna with Xbox, I feel at least.

Nothing has changed, it’s still ‘case by case’. “everything” is not on the table for now.
