Xbox Insider Program: Update Release Notes and Discussion

Is there any telling when us non insider peasants will get the Dolby Vision update?

This is the seriously bleeding Edge thread. (Sorry for the bad pun)

Skip ahead alpha takes all kind of guts.

Did the last insider update change something with highlighting tabs in Games & Apps? Tiles seem also more rounded than before.

I opted away from Skip Ahead Alpha because of some bad times with it. The Alpha pacing is fast enough for me.

Anyone have issues with an update this morning? I’m on Alpha Skip Ahead and got stuck in a loop not able to complete the update or even access any menus as it kept shutting off when the update failed. Had to do a factory reset to get out of it. Thankfully I was able to keep my games - did not want to have to download all of Flight Sim again.

Is that anything more than a new dynamic background theme?

Lately no lol

Le Sigh.

native xCloud streaming app for iPhone?

Apple suddenly gonna make an exception?

I mean cool I guess. Problem comes with it not being HDR and the flickering that occurs like 90% of the time one boots a game up.

@Shpeshal_Nick is probably doing summersaults in his living room upon hearing this news unless… it is still not 4K .

EDIT: looks like they had to postpone the update

New update to alpha skip ahead, another high requested feature being tested

Quick Resume

  • Users on Xbox Series X|S consoles can now keep up to two games in Quick Resume no matter what other games are launched. These games will only drop out of Quick Resume if the user manually removes it or if a game is updated.

I don’t get it entirely, isn’t there usually 4-5 games that are on Quick Resume?

yes. two of those can be pinned so they never get kicked out of quick resume as you launch more and more different games.

like rtansey say, you can pin 2 games so they will never leave the quick resume, but they postponed the update
