I don’t even hate the game, it’s got major issues but iv had fun

but it’s clear what the general reception of the game is and if it’s get’s shown, people will just clown on it, just not worth it imo

This is going out of topic but, am I the only one that feels like graphics don’t need to improve further? Games can get bigger and better with innovative gameplay mechanics but I feel graphics are just fine even if they stay the same for the next 5 years. I mean hellblade 2 looked close to photo realistic, it probably won’t be that on the series x but on PC it could, what more than photo realism is there? And do we really want / need it?

I think, in general games are perhaps a bit too detailed already, they’re too expensive to make and they take too long to make. So if I really like a game from a given studio, their next release might be 6-7 years later! That’s crazy. My most anticipated games this year are Baldur’s Gate 3 and Shadow Gambit. I can play a AAA from 2016 (Dishonored 2, Uncharted 4 or what have you) and not only play without wincing, but be absolutely floored at the detail to be found in games from that era.

At the same time, a part of me is curious to see what could be possible if a publisher went balls to the wall crazy on a project and I hope platform holders still have such flagship titles in development that really push the envelope. I still want MS to release Pentiments and Hi-Fi Rushes tho.

That pretty much it. AAA games takes 5 years to make nowdays. I don’t think they are holding back, it’s just not ready to be shown.

Sony has made a pretty big shift to GAAS, which inevitably diverts resources away from their beloved cinematic games. I’m very curious how the situation develops. Microsoft should have a window of opportunity to sway some people not fully happy with Sony’s new direction.

Worst thing about Premiers is that they’re limited to 1080p while “premiering” and go 4K afterwards… Premier quality is ass.

You’ll see click desperate outlets try and say these games are actually amazing but the “general audience” won’t fall for it though. Fairgames trailer got disliked hard and clowned on in the comments.

I wouldn’t be surprised though if we start seeing some people get “depressed” and say the entire gaming industry is in the gutter because Sony specifically isn’t putting out many “bangers” anymore, even if non Sony platforms are offering many incredible single player games

Both showcase openings have bad reputation so far. Fairgames is GaaS in CGI reveal that gave an impression that many would say “tone deaf.” Prince of Persia to me looks fun but received more negatives for whatever reason. Xbox has the shot to open up with a strong opener.

Hopefully they worked on the order of the show this year. Last year had a massive lull in it even though they had enough announcements to avoid that. They back loaded the show too much.

I won’t blame you for not knowing, so I will tell you. After PS Showcase, people were very upset at the delivering. It got to the point new excuses were made and one of them is PS is holding back because there are other events like Gamescom or Summer Game Fest. That’s why the showcase was lackluster, because they want to give some to others. I am mocking that claim when I said them. In short, I was being sarcastic.

What you said is absolutely correct. They take time and people will have to accept the fact.

Them are PS fanboys. I don’t take fanboys opinions seriously. My take is from a clear minded no bias stand point.

YT premieres are 1080p, no way around it unless Xbox got a special exception from YT. It will go 4k after the stream part is done, like it did last year. Bethesda did stream last year but only at 1080p
