Maybe if someone show Gollem DLC, it will be fine.
Apparently, the Xbox Showcase has already been uploaded to youtube. Be carefull of potential leaks.
Unfortunately, the show is 10am Pacific, so I will be drinking tea instead of beer or whiskey.
Basically⌠assholes that donât reveal other showcases (that go on YouTube) want to ruin shit for fans.
Sometimes I wish Microsoft would go full Nintendo and start knocking on leakersâ doors.
I will definitely be having a beer at 10am, haha. Need to get my hands of a nice coffee stout
Headlines from the future, as Sony releases a First Party GaaS with none of their traditional single player games in sight: âFairGame$ releases tomorrow. Thomas Fuckleroy explains why Games as a Service is the future of gaming and Sony is leading the charge once again.â

Damn I should bail
I think, in general games are perhaps a bit too detailed already, theyâre too expensive to make and they take too long to make. So if I really like a game from a given studio, their next release might be 6-7 years later! Thatâs crazy. My most anticipated games this year are Baldurâs Gate 3 and Shadow Gambit. I can play a AAA from 2016 (Dishonored 2, Uncharted 4 or what have you) and not only play without wincing, but be absolutely floored at the detail to be found in games from that era.
At the same time, a part of me is curious to see what could be possible if a publisher went balls to the wall crazy on a project and I hope platform holders still have such flagship titles in development that really push the envelope. I still want MS to release Pentiments and Hi-Fi Rushes tho.
Sony has made a pretty big shift to GAAS, which inevitably diverts resources away from their beloved cinematic games. Iâm very curious how the situation develops. Microsoft should have a window of opportunity to sway some people not fully happy with Sonyâs new direction.
Worst thing about Premiers is that theyâre limited to 1080p while âpremieringâ and go 4K afterwards⌠Premier quality is ass.
Youâll see click desperate outlets try and say these games are actually amazing but the âgeneral audienceâ wonât fall for it though. Fairgames trailer got disliked hard and clowned on in the comments.
I wouldnât be surprised though if we start seeing some people get âdepressedâ and say the entire gaming industry is in the gutter because Sony specifically isnât putting out many âbangersâ anymore, even if non Sony platforms are offering many incredible single player games
Both showcase openings have bad reputation so far. Fairgames is GaaS in CGI reveal that gave an impression that many would say âtone deaf.â Prince of Persia to me looks fun but received more negatives for whatever reason. Xbox has the shot to open up with a strong opener.
MK1 sure feels more grand finale.
Hopefully they worked on the order of the show this year. Last year had a massive lull in it even though they had enough announcements to avoid that. They back loaded the show too much.
Man⌠still real bummed that itâs a premiere
I am ready.
Edit: Guess it ate my gif.
Them are PS fanboys. I donât take fanboys opinions seriously. My take is from a clear minded no bias stand point.
YT premieres are 1080p, no way around it unless Xbox got a special exception from YT. It will go 4k after the stream part is done, like it did last year. Bethesda did stream last year but only at 1080p
so close to the showcase. I am going dark until sunday. gonna be hard not to jump in here or twitter but im trying to make this the one showcase where i dont see any leaks before hand. just work and diablo till sunday. see you guys then
Xbox Wire article is a bit misleading then. Oh well.
