Base on the leaks today. It’s already better than the PS showcase. It can only get better. Might be one for the ages showcase.

No worries, it honestly isn’t a problem for me just know some are trying to skip spoilers. This one has been all over though so it is hard to miss. But yeah I agree with your point somewhat. I hope they can keep a lid on the rest cause I have a feeling this is going to be a really good show.

Sorry for anyone that thinks it’s a bunch of nonsense, but:
I still don’t think anyone has presented a game that feels ‘next-gen’ even though this generation is 2.5 years old. Something that would make a quantum leap forward compared to anything that came before 2020. Spiderman 2 wouldn’t be possible on PS4 with the instant character switching, but IDK it seems gimmicky to me. I’d like to see something that truly set the new benchmark.
So it would be a great opportunity for Microsoft if they have such a project in production and finally show it off. They launched XSX with the ‘power your dreams’ tagline, now’s the time to live up to it. It’s possible Starfield’s scope might be that next-gen thing, it just doesn’t come across in trailers, but its scope is just that large compared to previous open-world RPGs.
Or maybe those ‘next-gen breakthroughs’ aren’t possible anymore, the jump in power resulted in better IQ, higher framerates and faster loading times and that’s it and the improvements will be incremental from now on…

Here i am trying to avoid spoilers and websites sticking the names of leaked games in their headlines. Disappointing. It was PureXbox by the way if folks want to avoid anything being spoiled.

What about ray tracing? Asking cause I believe Forza is still aiming to do stuff with regards to that that wouldn’t have been available before. Also supposed to work with it changing as cars are damaged.
You really have to go dark. Just got the leaked trailer spoiled in a fairly unrelated part of the internet lol.
Here’s the thing - these aren’t spoilers, per se, and jouros are going to do their jobs, so if you’re going to go dark… you really really need to go dark. All the youtubers, all the news sites, they’ll be running the leaks.
I don’t expect any Xbox leaks beyond the usual rumblings, but third parties are like sieves at this point.

The thing is, it was done by the company themselves, not leakers. Still, advised to go dark from here on.

In many ways yes.
Between the scope of Starfield, visual fidelity of Forza and Hellblade 2, the baseline is much much higher than it was last gen. Still, I hope MS can show at least one game that goes even beyond that somehow. I don’t know what I’m expecting lol, I want to experience the hype moment of a next-gen leap at least once more i my life, the way I did eg. when first seeing Assassin’s Creed 1 or Mirror’s Edge trailers.
But realistically, I’d like to see first in-engine/gameplay reveals of at least 3 1st party AAA games. Many studios are long overdue at this point.
