Xbox Games Showcase & Starfield Direct |OT| SPOILER FREE

Would have been a waste of precious time anyway.

I watched Podcast Unlocked yesterday, good show with some entertaining predictions.

It’s funny how Scalebound is probably the most likely of these lol

It is lol. As much as I would love to see Lost Odyssey 2 or a Xbox character mash up kart racer/fighting game Scalebound is the most likely. And there is basically no chance of Crackdown 4 happening unless Xbox is planning on rebooting the entire franchise.

If they keep to the same formula, FH6 will probably be released in 2024.

Forza Horizon 6 won’t release before Fable.

The Forza team at Playground only just finished the DLC and will be starting production of 6 now. It’s the first Horizon on the new engine and the first next gen only Horizon, so I think they will take longer like Turn 10 did with Motorsport.

Plus, as Fable gets closer, the Horizon team will almost certainly assist on it.

I actually think Blue Dragon 2 is more likely then LO2.

What is your impossible list of prediction?

  1. Indiana Jones
  2. State of Decay 3
  3. Halo campaign
  4. Forza Horizon 6
  5. Xbox handheld
  6. X2

Offcourse, no easy pickings like scaleblound and crackdown 4

True Fantasy Live Online is impossible but I would love for it to happen.

you make it sounds like all the devs at the forza team are handling the dlc. which is wrong for obvious reasons.

DLC is what the majority of the team work on while the studio leadership decides what to do next. I expect Horizon 6 has been in pre-production for a while, but most of the team will still have been working on Horizon 5 support and they will have gradually rolled onto Horizon 6 as their projects wrap up.

Only now will 6 be starting to get up to full development, and you think they’re going to get used to the new engine and make an entirely new game on that engine in 18 months? Especially if parts of the team are pulled away to work on Fable? AND with much of the creative leaders of Horizon having just left Playground?

Motorsport took 6 years. Horizon 6 taking 4 years is perfectly reasonable. Xbox doesn’t need Horizon 6 out in 2024. They can, should and will give them extra time, just like all their other studios have got.

unless we get a hard source or percentage at how many main devs were and are handling the DLCs, your claim was meaningless. ‘key devs leaving studio’ not like they couldn’t get assists from other devs like the recent wushu studio to help handling the side FH projects.

I just don’t know why you expect Horizon to stick to its previous schedule when 5 already broke the schedule and literally every single Xbox franchise has broke their schedule :man_shrugging:t2:
