Xbox Game Studios |OT9| How many games would a game studio make if a game studio could make games?

I think they’ll see the amount of fan wishes for it to be there, plus like I said before it would be a great marketing thing to push into the country because when FH3 was in Australia it did make us feel special haha.

How is you wanting RT in the game gonna affect their decision whether to make it in Japan or not lmao

I see no reason to go to Japan.

You think Japan can only look good with RT or something?

I do wonder about free roaming in Japan. I am not sure if Japan is a really good location for open space roaming. But it is legendary for street racing. Though I never liked street racing in Forza Horizon for some reason.

I just want it to be at its best as you don’t have many chances to use the same country twice. Imagine all those neon signs at night with full ray tracing  They 100% need to bring some eurobeat tracks too.

Honestly they already have great GI and reflections without RT and on the cross-gen engine. Racing games have figured that stuff three generations ago.

Oh, at no point did we have rumors? I thought Reddit and Twitter had a few.

Yeah, ones random people made up.

Yeah, Forza Horizon 5 has a great GI solution and the cube maps they have honestly look RTish if you are not paying close attention.

Forza Horizon isn’t a city racer. If they did do Japan I don’t think we should expect an emphasis on cities.

Also, bring back Project Gotham

That I agree that Forza Hoizon has never been a city racer.

Yes :fire:

Tokyo has incredible highways and is sure to be amazing if they go all out with verticality in FH6.

It isn’t a city racer right now, but nothing should stop them to try their hand at it, it would surely revitalize the formula. Not saying that they shouldn’t make a huge country side too, just add that to a big city with great verticality and the game should be amazing.

Well, yeah. So I am not sure what exactly missing for Forza Horizon to be a city racer. But playing in Guanajuato in Forza Horizon 5 is very annoying for me. Too many turns, I am always trying to avoid the town.

China would be a neat setting.

Yup, it’s by far the least enjoyable part of the game. It’s like the controls don’t fit it well?

The cars are heavy, much heavier than NFS for example where you can take crazy turns and decelerate on a whim lol

Probably the controls. I am not sure what exactly is missing though and what needs to be adjusted to feel better. The cars are too fast?

Maybe y’all just need to learn to drive :mhm:

I am playing Forza with a wheel, pedals and a gear shifter :racing_car:

Though for some reason in another game - Dirt Rally - I cannot adjust the wheel sensitivity.

Most people don’t consider the fact that Japan is like literally like the end game location for horizon series, nothing comes close to it’s hype. They will prolly only do it if they think they are at their peak, let it be their tech advancements, creativity, dev skill or scale. So far all the locations have been mostly an upgrade, but Japan just simply can’t be topped and it’s all downhill from there if they fail to meet expectations, partly why I think they’ll hesitate to go for it.

Well they’ll have to sooner or later :joy:

Part of me wonders if they will save Japan for if Horizon ever falters. If Horizon 6 “only” gets 80s or 70s and not 90s, then maybe Horizon 7 will be Japan to really blow people away.

I would still bet on Horizon 6 being Japan, to take full advantage of the new engine and being next-gen only. Playground know that Japan is what fans want, and seeing how celebrated Ghost of Tsushima was in Japan, I think Forza Horizon 6 would definitely hit similar highs culturally.

I for one would welcome verticality in my Horizon games if it’s in Japan.

The flat lands in FH4/5 is giving me visual fatigue.
