I mean it should be no-brain. I have been beating a drum for quite some time. Simply create a serie of styles inspired by various games. It does not affect the wafers thus they can bring a lot of different consoles to the market. Would not be surprised that if the price lowers - people will start to collect Series S consoles as they are doing with gamepads (I don’t believe that Series S will become 199 console though as elite controller is 150 for example).

Quick question, has Bethesda ever done betas for their games before?
Well I already have a Series X (living room) and S (bedroom). I was thinking of setting up an Xbox powered arcade machine, but after that I would struggle to find a use for a fourth Xbox lol
how many games does inxile have in the works? i recall the studio head tweeting in 2020 that they have a second rpg in pre prod.

I don’t recall it has ever been talked about, not for any of their previous games. But then again we didn’t really have a ex employee talking about Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and 4 and Skyrim months before release.

They were still working on Wasteland 3 content at that point, so it’s not necessarily an indication they are working on multiple games.
If you mean public betas, then no to my recollection.
Fallout 76 had a beta, but I don’t recall any for their SP games either.

76 is also an online game, something Bethesda has never done before so a public beta makes sense to me. I do wonder what the issue is with having a private beta six months or so before the game launches? That should be the way to play test the game and make sure it’s not so broken its unplayable? Maybe even show them where the polish needs to go into, because we know that most people tend to play and try to break the game in ways developers didn’t think about.

That sounds very likely to me yeah.
We had Todd back in 2018 (or 2019)saying to Ryan that the game was already playable from start to finish. And last year after E3 and the second interview with Ryan it sounded to me that things were progressing very nicely. He pretty much confirmed the 11-11 date set in stone. For him to do that once again…he’d have to be really confident. Maybe a beta is perfectly normal.

What I understand is in software a beta is basically the game before the 1.0 release. Meaning that a game one day before going gold is still in beta.

When it comes to that Pvp/Pve game, didn’t we have those job postings way before the acquisition by Xbox?
Did Fallout 4 have loading screens between locations? I remember Skyrim had (and had mod for Open Cities), but I don’t remember FO4.
BTW, Jez said that even if he would know something, he won’t leak anything about the Xbox show(s?).
