Wouldn’t read into it too much, not everything is marketing. He could just be looking forward to Fable. Or they asked specifically about Fable.

According to a lot of people here, nothing is marketing when it comes to Xbox.

Yeah true. It’s probably going to depend on several things. If for example MS sticks with the twelve months thing then it’s entirely possible that Fable is a no show next E3. But then there are also those opportunities like TGA and perhaps if XO makes a return, to show stuff that is farther out.

The cult has yet a lot to learn when it comes to that. Immediately crying like a little bitch when they get only a minute of gameplay from GoWR, when the whole month will have new content from Game Informer. Patience is not a word they are familiar with, lol.

Don’t know why they would be crying when Game Informer said that the gameplay was being split into two parts. That’s just weird. Second part I believe is Tuesday which is probably going to be around 4 minutes or so. Personally, I will still watch it but do I need to see more? Nah. I already know what im getting. It is a sequel after all.

Yeah, I really don’t need to see anything from Ragnarok. I know I’m getting it anyway lol.

Apparently Phil said

“In January we provided a signed agreement to Sony to guarantee CoD on PS, with feature and content parity for at least several more years.”

And I can’t help but full that they shouldn’t be so freaking nice man, sorry. You keep the games on there for several more years…ok, but feature and content parity? Exactly what Xbox has been fucked over with for years now by Sony?

And even despite all this the CMA is still being so difficult.

Ya these are my only issues with Phil. He plays nice and does this but then Sony pays for things like extra misssions in Harry potter

I understand it, but I think we should be less invested in pay back. It’s one thing to say that they shouldnt promise that for the benefit/success of the platform, but when it’s because they did it first it’s purely console wars.

Haha. Yep. Day one for me.

It’s not about doing the same, it’s about why the hell you promise not to do it? I don’t think it should be done either, but written guarantees not to? Wtf kind of lame behaviour is that?

If I had to guess, they hoped Sony would be less difficult in allowing the deal to go through, lol. Doesn’t sound like it worked.

Oh Mighty Sony, please don’t be upset with us! We promise not to do anything like what you’ve done to us, of course not, we are but puny insects in your presence and we wouldn’t dream of hurting you. Here, take this written guarantee! It shall be proof of our obedient intent, oh Glorious One. Please don’t be angry with us, accept this gift and please don’t hit us, even though we surely deserve it for going against Your will.

Gears Tactic is so immersive man, didn’t think a RTS game would be this adrenaline driven.

Microsoft is trying to avoid having to make any kind of binding promises to regulators that might restrict them further down the line. They already intend to put Call of Duty on PlayStation for the foreseeable future, putting that in writing with Sony is easy. But it’s not impossible that regulators for one country or another could come in and demand more than this, and will likely take steps to hold Microsoft to these demands in the future.
I mean, I don’t think Microsoft is planning on taking Call of Duty away from PlayStation any time soon, but we don’t know what the industry is going to look like in a decade or two’s time - maybe the situation changes entirely and there’s a compelling reason not to release on PlayStation any more. The less they have to put in writing to regulators now the more flexible they are in the future.

One thing is clear, for those expecting CoD to be exclusive…it’s not happening anytime soon. Eventually probably but will take several years. When it comes to that it’s whatever for me, Game Pass day one, super deal.

This so much. That shouldn’t be necessary at all. A agreement that CoD stays coming to PS for several more years, sure, they made that clear since day one, but why the fuck agree to content and feature parity? Leave that out, let Sony sweat a little. It just seems so very unnecessary and way to freaking nice, after Sony has done all they can to “kill” Xbox. It’s just frustrating.

I have been hoping to Sony calms the fuck down with their shenanigans once MS has ABK, but is that part of the agreement? I sure hope so. Soon they will have CoD, a humongous franchise, leverage to make Sony start to play a little more nicely. Use it, if necessary. But I guess we’ll find out.
