Well, SoT does not have the competition. Halo has Apex, COD with all their instances, half dead BF, roughly Destiny too, probably Overwatch too. Any FPS is a potential competitor to Halo.
It’s not just the noc that will react, I was using a mod that added stagger effects/knockback and an NPC stagger locked me to death. I couldn’t do anything.
That’s just how everything works, while SoT is in unique situation being what it is, it doesn’t mean that it’s not competing with those shooters for our time and money. Just saying well Halo won’t catch up and quitiing isn’t an option.
the Halo Infinite roadmap is looking very bleak and a major reason is because Slipspace and the core of the game isn’t optimized. They are having far too many issues with the game. They’ve said it themselves that even implementing new games modes takes a lot of hard-stressful work because of how the game was built. Plus, everything that they build for the game has to run on the original Xbox One, a 10 year plan won’t work.
Arguing on a forum that 343 should not be working on Halo when you know that’s never going to happen is quite a feat.
I’m still in the stop Xb1 development camp, and just put the game(Series X version) in the free streaming tier created for fortnite.
at that point why not just make another Halo game and leave Halo Infinite behind? build a new one on Unreal Engine 5 that can be much more optimized for Series X|S etc. The gameplay to Infinite is fine its just a barren wasteland with not much content and tons of mutliplayer bugs because the underlying Slipspace engine was a mess. It can’t even run with a steady frame rate on a GTX 3080.
I would want like a mass effect type of RPG that is outside of the master chief storyline
Once the ABK deal closes they will have tons of employees that probably won’t all be working on COD anymore. Perhaps they could help out with Halo Infinite and its future. I don’t know.
I’m not a big fan of GAAS games but it’s inevitable I suppose. Only way to sustain AAA games development at the moment.
I find it weird that people would rather wait 4 to 5 years for a new Halo than the 6 months to season 3 and 9 months to season 4, to see how the game improves.
I need to watch myself but apparently Matt Booty said that Playground is ready to show off Fable but Microsoft is holding the reveal
We don’t need to turn the poor CoD-factories into Halo-factories.
I don’t think that would be wise, and they’re better off getting some support studios to assist their other studios. I believe every live service game uses support studios for assistance, and its weird Halo franchise doesn’t have that sorted out.
Yeah, let’s those people do something else, stop making COD annual, remove from Playstation (for employee’s benefit of course) and just support Warzone.
honestly…good. Hold off from showing the game until its close to launch. they could show the game when predicting its a year and a half away from launch but they could find an underlying bug that requires the game to have an additional 6-12 months of more development time and that’d suck. I want to see Fable be one of those games where they say “here is the gameplay, here is the cover-art, here is the promotional material, see you in 6 months! we’re on Game Pass day one”. Just like how they do it for Forza Horizon
In the major nelson interview or somewhere else?
Edit: Pax thing
Nice. TGA maybe?
Tired of the depressing feeling I’ve had around Halo these past 24 hours. Should I spend some time to try and finish Psychonauts 2? I never finished it.
Yes, Psychonauts 2 is excellent.
