I was tempted to give it a try but the download on Xbox but the file is an absurd 170gb or something like that. I really hope the main focus of Arc 2 was making something at least half way optimised.
It’s mostly that big because most of the maps are rolled in, instead of being attached to add-ons like they should be
Its the most buggy game iv ever played. on ps5 and series. Its real messed up on the switch. my wife and her brothers were super into it. even played on a private server(paid for btw) for less bugs but quit after it was just to glitchy
The high on life guys gotta do Conker
Yeah, they might actually pull it off indeed. I don’t like too much talk in the game though.
Cool to see Pentiment being a $19.99 game, that’s going to probably help it a bit on Steam being cheap, still don’t expect it to hit any huge numbers but good thing they priced it right.
Yeah, I’m personally just really glad this acquisition leaves room for this sort of game. Or I would hope, encourages it even. I mean this is a major studio responsible for some big upcoming AAA games and yet we’re also getting small experimental passion projects from them as well like Grounded and Pentiment.
Anyone else still don’t think starfield will be in the first half of the year. I think Xbox and Bethesda both know they need a banger. I think they will get as much time as they need.
There were people that expected that the day the delay was announced.
I’m hopeful that as much time as they need is first half of 2023, it’s a bad look to delay again.
It’s a bad look but better that then a halo infinite outcome. If starfield is a banger, then the hype for es6 would reach crazy high and would be good for Xbox, it being exclusive an all.
Yeah, ultimately they’ll give the game the time it needs and they have enough games they could afford to push it to later in the year, but hopefully they weren’t aggressive with the date. I’d like to think they would have learned their lesson.
Hopefully, who knows though. I’m just hoping it’s amazing.
Haven’t read yet, but probably an interesting read
“Phil Spencer … wants fewer exclusives”.
That explains Xbox 2022 lineup
“While Microsoft is focused on completing the Activision acquisition, Spencer said he remains on the hunt for more content whether by investing in new games, partnerships or further deals. Xbox wants to add content and creators in the regions of the globe where it’s less strong.”
Acquisition season might not be taking a break
I understand why he says this, but I feel like it’s going to bite him in the ass.
It being delayed again would be a big PR blow. Maybe they still do it if they think they can withstand that, but I really think it comes out in the first half, even if it’s the last week in June or something.
You would hope if there was any doubt about the first half their announcement of the delay would have just said ‘2023’ rather than ‘first half of 2023’. I expect they thought they would be pretty close but not there yet, so a few more months of polish would make it ready to release
Fwiw, Phil’s comments:
“Maybe you happen in your household to buy an Xbox and I buy a PlayStation and our kids want to play together and they can’t because we bought the wrong piece of plastic to plug into our television,” Spencer said.
“We really love to be able to bring more players in reducing friction, making people feel safe, secure when they’re playing, allowing them to find their friends, play with their friends, regardless of what device — I think in the long run that is good for this industry.
“And maybe in the short run, there’s some people in some companies that don’t love it. But I think as we get over the hump and see where this industry can continue to grow, it proves out to be true.”
I think he’s talking XCloud.
