And now you have me excited at the possibility of this ever coming back.
Good days, good days…

It’s not just me who noticed how small some of the xbox first party studios are for AAA games?. Some are only just pushing above 100 employees.
Im assuming they are expanding, but still.
All the XGS acquisitions except Playground and Obsidian were smaller studios. And Obsidian is working multiple projects.
Not including Bethesda or Activision Blizzard obviously
… I expect the future games to stay multiplatform (including Switch)
like when the last time an MS employee told a journo that some future Actibliz games will be exclusive to Xbox platform?
They probably contract support from other studios too, internally and externally.
Yeh fair enough I forgot about that. I hope they can staff up in particular Bethesda. At this rate we won’t see fallout 5 for 10 years. They need to get the gap down between each game.
I think it’ll be a long wait till the next Fallout, there’s no way they’re taking the franchise away from Bethesda and it is just gonna take a while with Elder Scrolls 6 first, but I think once we get there it’s gonna get a lot more consistent. I mean there’s a world of possibility when it comes to spin off titles in that franchise, from letting other RPG developers make a game in the main engine to RTS titles to survival games to story driven stuff - it just takes a few years to really get these things going. Look at Minecraft, it took a few years but now we seem to be getting pretty consistent side games release supporting the franchise alongside the main game.
Fuck man, after the delays of Starfield and Redfall I thought at least the Game Pass games by third parties were a lock, especially something like Dark Tide. And now it’s likely it won’t even see the light of day this year anymore on Xbox. It sucks, but what can you do.
I just hope Plague Tale 2 and High on Life will see no delays and also let us just please have Deathloop in September. It’s so tiresome how we have zero about it, I know, it’s nothing new, this is how those deals work but it still bloody sucks.
The funny thing is that GP will probably grow still and it will soften the blow of falling revenue (like it happen this quarter)
That’s why you have a huge backlog.
What backlog?
This is giving me horse balls details in RDR2
ray traced bird poop, NT are dev gods!!
Yeah, and that isn’t a positive IMO. That kind of stuff is a pointless flex to me.
It’s not something I care about but its clear they are going after an ultrarealistic and immersive experience and as silly as it sounds, that stuff helps
State of Decay 2 ? Or State of Decay 3 maybe ?
I got to say, Xbox team sure is lively.
