XGP working with Japanese studios is great news. I hope they have contracted games from everywhere
What’s this reference supposed to be?
Maybe nothing, maybe some leak, maybe he recalled that Miles was a main proponent of japanese games So he told them that the future in their hands.
Should have used the meme like
Its the tagline for Death Stranding
Death stranding coming to Xbox confirmed
If I had any talent in game design. I would form a studio named [Redacted]
This sea of thieves stuff looks dope.
one thing i find interesting is that there is some MCU timeline where Xbox has bought crystal dynamics and eidos and i find it fascinating that Lara Croft and Indiana Jones coexisting on the same platform. These images look great. I’m curious who they bring in to voice indy. If they can’t get harrison ford. I really hope its someone like Idris Alba. I think he has a great voice.
I like how each time we get a number from someone it goes down. By the time we get to fall Microsoft itself will have been broken up like at&t was.
To be fair he accurately reported what he heard. Whether the investor’s statement has merit is another story. But investors are not fully in on this deal. you can tell by the stock price. As if it was a sure bet the stock wouldn’t be at 80 right now. As even now it would be 15 dollar premium per share which adds up quickly when you buy at volume.
I wonder if at some point we will use AI to generate the voice of the actor.
Oh, there’s zero doubt that they’ll do that before long. I suspect in this console gen, especially for supporting characters. But I’d bet voice acting is a profession that won’t even exist within a decade or two.
“Reported” is a generous term for a couple of posts made by some anonymous guy with a Twitter account who can barely string together coherent sentences.
As for the investor’s statement… There’s no way of knowing if there even is an investor, or if “Timdog” just decided to Tweet some stuff for the lulz and clicks.
And even if there is an investor, and even if that person feels there’s only a 50/50 chance of this deal going through, why on earth should we listen to that person? I am also an investor, in both Microsoft and Activision, and I think the odds are more along the lines of 90/10. Maybe Timdog should take that opinion and make another Twitter thread.
Your point about the stock price is fair. But that’s not an argument in favour of giving Timdog and his Tweets any credence or discussion time, on that point I stand by my original assessment of him.
Didn’t the Anthony Bourdain documentary do this, they recreated his voice using an AI to fill in some gaps in narrating or to read out some of his writing or something.
I used to be kinda 50/50 on whether Starfield would have manual space flight, but Skullzi made a good video here which only adds more and more to the high chances of actually having manual space flight, I can’t believe I didn’t see these signs, lol.
He covers the things the devs have said, covers the space game from like 30 years ago that never saw the light of day and much more.
IMO manual space flight is likely to make the game exponentially more buggy so I’m against it for that reason. I feel like that sort of thing is better for an action adventure game and not an RPG.
If they can make it work great then fine, but I feel like it might be more trouble than it’s worth.
I think interplanetary travel will be an in-ship sequence without much player control beyond selecting the destination (like how Jedi Fallen Order does it). But there has to be manual flight within planets.
I agree. I don’t really care for that in an RPG either.
Todd Howard has said everything but explicitly say “there will be manual space flight” to confirm there will be manual space flight. Why would you want a space game without manual flight?
