You don’t become a 2 trillion dollar company by throwing away money, they didn’t get to that size being wreckless and just throwing money away.

They literally become 2T by being cuttthroat with their competitors while making a smile. They spent 70b and I am pretty sure nobody expects to get such money back by selling COD in retail. MTX - in Warzone 1, Warzone 2 and F2P Zombie mod will be the main revenue driver.

But they don’t rip the contracts? Warzone 2 is coming to PS? Yes. MW2 is coming to PS? Yes. Not sure what are you arguing about there. And last I checked you can still buy FO4 on PSN no? FO76 is even available in PS Now.

Yeah I’ve come to that point too. Now when I look back at earlier this year when I was stressing about what they meant about CoD…I’m like…what am I doing to myself? It comes to Game Pass, it’s all I need.

It’s the same with exclusivity for any other games, if they are for Xbox only, great, if not, great too. I wouldn’t agree with it though because your service needs iron strong exclusive content, but that’s it.

This, I do think it’s most of us wanting to get one over on Playstation after last generation which is 100% warranted and I understand fully and to an felt the same way, but it’s probably just best to let it go and enjoy what we’ll be eating.

COD on Game Pass day one will be huge for the platform in terms of growth, regardless of exclusivity. Look at how 20% of those who played Fortnite on xCloud are new to the ecosystem. That’s what they’re looking for.

I don’t remember his exact words anymore, but didn’t Phil pretty much say TES VI would be exclusive to Game Pass? So far with the stuff they’ve been saying they have been pretty consistent. Honoring deals, games with big communities like TESO, CoD remain multi, new games exclusive.

The rebrand to Microsoft Gaming should tell you where they’re going in the future. The definition of exclusive in the gaming space has been evolving since Quantum Break got announced for PC back in 2016. Prepare yourself now so you don’t have to go through the elongated “It’s totally not going to happen” denial phase that our brethren across the way having been going through in regard to stuff going to PC.

Hey look no need to get heated, I’m just of a different opinion and that’s ok. I’m happy to be wrong as I said I don’t really care which way it goes it doesn’t bother me. I just find it a bit annoying people trying to turn everything into what they want to hear, Phil could come out and say directly Call of Duty is not going to be exclusive and people will turn around and say “Well he never said it will NEVER be exclusive so there’s a chance!” and over time it is a bit exhaustive to me, which is why I wanted to just say something.

I’m cool with whatever the hell they want to do I’m just chilling back with my Series X and Game Pass till 2024 hyped haha.

The definition of exclusive in the gaming space has been evolving since Quantum Break got announced for PC back in 2016.

Markets pivots towards walled gardens encompassing PC/console/mobile/browser. Then we also have F2P MTX driven games (with ads) that are available everywhere. Some content available there and there, but in general platform (ecosystem) holders will lock content down to their ecosystems.

Warzone and Warzone 2 is an existing game. PS5 will get CoD 2024…so its covered …up to a point…up to 2026 assuming they stick to 2 year gaps, after that…no…Warzone 3 can come out, Xbox, PC, Cloud only.
