Xbox Game Studios |OT8| Leaving The Drought Behind And Heading For Starfield

Do we know the nature of the Sony deal ? Was it X years or X games ? I wonder if this gives Sony 1 more year for their partnership with COD as a result.

Exactly what I want and what ive been saying. No more annual COD.

Move the series to a service.

That’s a good question.

I bet we are going to find out in the next days.

Odd

Isn’t Warzone 2 next year?

They may delay that as well

Don’t think that’s what’s happening here.

I would see this more as trying to get the release schedule back on track. With Overwatch and Diablo covering the loss, it hurts much less.

Diablo is huge, so is Overwatch 2. If they get the games right that is

Wow.

Holy shit.

I wonder what this does to the Marketing Deal already in place with Sony if there’s no game for 2023?

Theoretically if the deal lapses in 2023, Treyarch’s now 2024 CoD could be the first with Xbox marketing and Day 1 on GamePass.

Yeah but if it’s currently planned for 2023 that would be the reason why they are forcasting those high numbers

or it gets extended a year, there’s probably things written into the contracts to ensure Sony gets a certain amount of games or something

Oof hope not.

Also unless Sledgehammer is put on Warzone 2 support, whatever 2024 CoD they would be in the early planning stages of is more than likely now scrapped freeing up Sledgehammer to try something new.

So unless they’re on support, Sledgehammer is already free from CoD more than likely at this point.

So Modern Warfare 2 is going to be the best selling game 2 years in a row lol. That would be a first I guess.

Dude I literally just saw you post that exact same thing on OtherERA.

Lol.

Lets do a victory dance

Half a dance, it’s Sledgehammer after all :doge:

I don’t think that means yearly COD is off the table.

But we can read soon about it.

I don’t think Sledgehammer is diverting from COD
