Xbox Game Studios |OT8| Leaving The Drought Behind And Heading For Starfield

oh yeah, for sure, I’m just being dumb. Starfield has me very excited! Halo and Forza we’re/are great, but Starfield is the true start of Xbox’s momentum, assuming it does well. (I think it will, but nothings impossible)

I am not betting on 2023 first half to be good (it definitely has potential)

Because, any first half game could get delayed to second half for various reasons

But 2023 overall will be best year yet in terms of exclusives

Well we know we’re getting 1 game for sure in March in Ghost Wire, so that’s already better than the last 2 years :stuck_out_tongue:

We gonna eat good

Avowed is supposed to be targeting early 2023 although I don’t know how close they’ll want Starfield to another RPG.

Ghostwire Tokyo Q1 2023 let’s goo

Technically we supposed to get Deathloop this year too.

Noticing that 1st halves tend to be light and nonexistent for Xbox 1st party in terms of big releases is valid because it’s been a reality. However, I don’t like implying that that’s because MS don’t like Q1 releases and artificially delay games to summer-holdiay season. That just doesn’t make sense. They might do that when they have so much ready content though, they could control and space out accordingly, that would be a luxury when it happens.

Yeah but Ghostwire is gonna end the 1st half 1st party “drought” trend for 2023 :philwins: which is what the post was about

After February will be a good launch window

4 months gap is sufficient I think

The release date of Deathloop will tell us also when Ghostwire will arrive on Xbox. I hope they really publish them the day after the known dates on trailers, to send a message against these practices. If not also, Ghostwire won’t be a Q1 2023 game, considering it’s releasing on 24/3, even a week delay would mean Q2. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I just think it was a byproduct of the lack of first party studios producing games. If you are only going to produce a game or two a year it’s probably better that you get them out just before Christmas so you get that boost on game and console sales. Now that they have the studios I expect them to be much more spread out through the year

Xbox in silent mode. I think they took the Atlus announcement as their own lol, they’re not going to say anything this month.

Overall, it was a very weak month for Xbox, even for Game Pass. I’m not one to complain about the service, but this month was very poor. I hope March is different.

Personally I’m fine if it’s later than that, Starfield will absolutely be a huge, huge game and I know I’m gonna take my sweet time with that. I mean sure, we could juggle between two big RPGs, but from my experience it never quite ends up looking like that.

Mid or summer is fine with me too, as long as we just get a real update this year it’s all good.

Um UE5 is out only now in preview?? I know devs have had early access to it before now but I’m slightly confused they’re only at a preview now. How long is it going to be for a full 1.0 release?

Phil fighting the good fight against Tencent/Epic. They will not do the same with COD I suppose, COD as Minecraft does not need Steam and MS will not want to distribute income.
