Maybe MS will own this IP over not owning Monster hunter but this is just a guess

Well it’s a publishing deal, but I don’t think they’ll onw the IP.

Xbox learned their lesson with not owning their published ip’s with sunset overdrive. Guarantee they own every ip they publish now.

Maybe it’s only been an assumption all this time but I was under the impression that with all these XGP deals they owned those IPs

So Contraband, Dragon, Kojima etc are all xbox IPs

I doubt MS want another Sunset Overdrive type situation happening

Publishing in terms of 1 year exclusivity like PUBG or forever like ReCore ?

you can say Monster Hunter has the “tropes” of JRPGs without being one :woman_shrugging:

these games are different MS are funding these games from the jump, Certain Affinity game already being made.

Grubb “and as it turns out, CA was making one, so they signed a deal to publish”

“Supposedly XGS is looking for more co-op games for the network effect, but they don’t wanna force their studios on it”

Ah I see, yeah then maybe this one is different but I guess we will see

A new second party game? Well, it goes without saying, Xbox is serious about gaming.

So if there’s a co-op game from an XGS studio, how do we know if it’s something they want to make or MS forced them to make?

they know the current roadmap of Their studios,

and Certain Affinity game probably will release sooner than other xbox network Games in mind

Well, since they don’t want to force their studios it is safe to assume that any that does get made are because the studio wanted to do it? Xbox wants more so they look outside of first party.

Same. Now I wonder if PS is forcing some to do multiplayer. Sure feels well timed to all the sudden some first party wants to do multiplayer, but it’s just me. Anyway, I do like that Xbox isn’t forcing anyone, but I’ll bet they’re extra happy when they do, let alone third party sign up for one.
