Some say Shrek is the greatest curse

The tone is going to be fine, I’m worried about the gameplay and the combat, I’m not going to expect something akin to Itsuno’s works because he’s the only one who can achieve that in this industry.

But I hope we have a good variety of unique weapons and magic, with the ability to combo everything.

Skyrim and TW3, the most successfull rpgs to date, have decent combat at best, even less than sufficient in some areas, the deal-breaker is the world-building and the scope of the game.

I understand that people value other things in games, but to me action and combat is above all else because that’s what I’m going to be doing for most of the time.

Combat in Skyrim is simply terrible to me.

its an unpopular opinion but kingdoms of amalur had really great combat , if fable will have that kind of combat just a little more fluid ( which they can achieve because of the budget ) it would be pretty good

It’s not unpopular, that game still has amazing combat.

A joke bro :sob:

They can keep in some comic relief like TW 3 had but im hoping that the overall story and plot is more mature and adult oriented. The original games were M rated right? If so, im expecting the same for the reboot.

Not for me. lol. I’m 43 and I prefer mature adult oriented games. I don’t want kids games. If I wanted that, I would go buy a Switch again and play Nintendo games. lol.

I hate motion blur. It sucks. I love it when games give you the option to disable it. I agree with you on the second part. I don’t mind humor, just don’t want it to be based on farting and burping.

True. That humor with the frog eating the fairy. That’s fine. I just don’t want the farting, burping and childish toilet humor like that in. The rest is fine. Never played DD so I can’t comment on that. I just want it to be fluid and responsive and I will be happy.

On second thought I think I didn’t mean motion blur, just that the 30fps in Witcher 3 isn’t nearly as bad as many other games. In AC Valhalla it feels and looks like a stuttery mess but it’s very fluid in Witcher 3. I thought it was the motion blur helping with that, but probably not then.

it’s a reboot they can do what they want with it, it’s either big failure or big success.

Who said kids games?, just not “dark and gritty” like so many games are trying to be.

Playground know how to make 30fps feel smooth, I expect that with Fable too. It’s motion blur but also other things with it that help.

alot of them are trying but few manage to pull it off , most of them are just "why did you kill my friend , im gonna find you and kill you " or " i have too much power i have to end the world , and the hero arrives and stops him " , what games like the witcher 3 and red dead redemption 2 did in terms of story very few can

What does this even mean? It’s such hyperbole

The changes are going to make either going to please Fable fans or Make them angry in that department.

It’s PG take on Fable. it will be like new game IP.

I get the feeling that fans of Fable are already happy with the tone that was shown in the trailer.

I don’t think anyone is really going to be sad if farting doesn’t make it in.

they will probably keep marriage aspect, as for the others we have to wait trailer in 2023/2024.

Fable will be fun to see unfold.

Unlike most others, I don’t give Playgrounds a pass for their writing because it’s a “racing game”.

They’re trash at it and I’m super interested to see how they tackle that, I’ve heard they hired some very talented writers for Fable so that’s a great start.

Fable will have a good balance between dark fantasy and humor, I guess it depends on what we consider dark fantasy. Witcher has themes that are very dark, but I think Fable can still have a dark tone and elements while also being humorous at the same time as we saw with the toad and fairy.
