Add it to the list of brand new studios formed in the last few years, which makes all the “All indies are disappearing! CONSOLIDATION!” fear-mongering absurd.

I think people sometimes lose sight of the fact that for some the act of building something is what sustains them. Contentment/sustained success isn’t the end game for everyone. Some people need that pursuit of something new to keep going.

Was finally able to get my LinkedIn access restored, and yes it appears Jeff has left Undead… but in April of 2021, not the “year ago” that some of you were claiming, and like I told one of our team members, he stopped being Studio Head but was still at the company (change of title doesn’t mean the founder is suddenly gone).
We also know that there is independent funding, but some level of support from MS as presented in the article I posted earlier, also that the LLC that owns the rights to the name and studio is Pyrtania Media created by Jeff’s family members in May of this year. Never said they were first-party here, but given the previous PR and the fact that it’s the founder of Undead Labs, I’d argue it’s still related.
