Xbox Game Studios |OT7| Killer News Here!?

The problem with them doing what they do best was in this instance Arkane games not selling well enough be it for being an immersive sim or hard to market for and them just trying to experiment with a formula with their take which i like (Redfall)

I don’t at all think you act like that.

I think there’s a difference to how one can act about such a thing. Some will write a game off as soon as they hear co-op, that’s their right to do so, but that’s just jumping to conclusions in my book. For example I will absolutely give Redfall a chance in co-op, but if I don’t enjoy the experience with others I hope it will be really worth it soloing too. But if not, I’ll just move on, I’m not gonna shit post about it or whatsoever.

For example Insomniac, known for mostly SP games is about to announce their new game and everyone expects it to be SP, but then it turns out it’s co-op focused or MP only, people won’t be happy, but nothing they can do about it. They can wish their next game is SP again though. Another example is Double Fine, for me they are the best at SP games, but there’s a strong chance their next one will be MP, I find it a bummer, but it’s cool for MP fans. But at the same time I do hope they go back to SP games again, and so on.

Can only speak for myself on this and I also don’t think you act entitled here or anything.

Let’s admit there’s a bias for single-player games from some of us and a lot of other forums as well. We assume if a studio known for SP makes a game that’s multiplayer then that’s probably the publisher ‘forcing’ them, and maybe that’s because there’s evidence for that in some publishers. But some of us also assume every studio’s actual wish is to make SP game and if not then they’re just being forced by the publisher, and that’s just wrong.

We have one thing to know though, if a game is great then that’s something they wanted to make and cared about.

It’s not entitled when I or someone wishes some games were better tailored for us, but it’s kind of entitlement, or appears like entitlement at least, when we express it in a way that makes it feel like what we wanted is the ‘superior’ thing and if it’s not what we wanted then it also must not be what the studio wanted.

If I get gameplay trailers for Avowed, Hellblade 2 and Redfall, I will be more than satisfied.

Agreed. And Microsoft’s last cross-gen game is Halo Infinite. Woohoo!!!

Agreed. I’m not expecting Fable gameplay until E3 2022.

Let Arkane do whatever they want

Man, they should have done that, that woulda been so much better…

I’m a single player almost always and I like when people can also do coop

Arkane has always wanted to make an MP game. It goes back to The Crossing, a game they tried to make a while back. Redfall isn’t the departure people thing.

Edit: I don’t like how I worded this. Distracted and it shows. Reworded now.

Fable is going to be a big deal when it finally launches. The games were popular on the Xbox and 360 and there has been more than enough time that has passed for the game to become nostalgic.

Phil already said Fable is gonna release after Starfield and Avowed and before TES 6, so for the time being I’m more curious to see the Obsidian RPG at TGA.

I want to see the compulsion game

Already gave-up with those “soon” and “a bit more time” words from devs and “insiders”. By “a bit more time” he could be mean needing one and half a year at minimum to showcase the game.

Like I’ve said before , we are going to get HB2 gameplay , a CGI trailer of Bethesda game ( not redfall ) and a Gamepass related ad .

The Gamepass related ad could be Ubisoft vault if MS is going big .

Or … You know … And this might be a shocking concept … I’m literally just sharing my simple opinion, just like you have the right to post your opinion as well.
