I want more dishonored , Prey like games and less Deathloop , Redfall like games from Arkane . Alot of studios are making co-op games while immersive sim is a dying genre .
Winning multiple awards doesn’t boost GP or players total numbers. Which is the only thing xbox could give a flying damn.
I doubt they show Fable anytime soon. Would love to be wrong though
Agreed, though I can’t comment on Redfall till I see it
Premature until we actually see more of the game
Well the thing is deathloop was revealed over a year before release and has been at many events with gamplay. if redfall is supposed to come out in summer of 2022 we are less than a year away with no gamplay.
Next E3 im thinking
huge Starfield blow out, .Forza. Redfall. Sawyers game. Contraband maybe
Thats a great guess. Hellblade to close the show as well
This! And because of Game Pass I definitely believe these games will stand a stronger chance for sure. I’m hopeful for more games like Prey and Dishonored, because Deathloop and Redfall seem to be products from when Zenimax was going after something else.
Yep, a proper reveal should not be far off now, but right I’m like “we’ll see” about this summer release. Just look at Deathloop, got delayed as well, nothing is guaranteed about Redfall yet. And if more time is needed that’s fine, but maybe announcing that release date was too soon. We shall find out.
I want that too but I’m gonna understand if they don’t make them anymore. In theory Game Pass should cover for those games but we don’t fully know the full picture economics of Game Pass yet. Can it cover for games that cost hundreds of millions and 4-5 years of dev time but not enough sales, engagement and monetization?
We also don’t know what’s the input of MS on Bethesda and what’s Bethesda’s input on Arkane. I believe Bethesda did more than enough with Arkane, no other publisher would have persisted with those games this long. Of course here should come Phil and Xbox’s commitment and actually support those games to the fullest, bypassing Bethesda’s authority if needed.
arkane is already working on a imersive sim game
“Let the studios make what they wanna make… unless it’s co-op!”
The real kicker is coop is literally almost always optional.
You can play them solo, they still work as single player games
A game being optionally coop does not take anything away from someone playing it solo.
Heaven forbid people be able to play games with other people if they choose.
Yes.
Always the same story…
I just hope being playable Solo doesn’t ruin the co-op experience!
Fixed
Oh those are amazing and I love when it’s done like that, like Gears, Halo, Far Cry, Dying Light, Deep Rock Galactic, and some others. It is only a problem (for me personally) when the games are designed co-op first and with a solo option. Some games do it well, but honestly most of my experience they just don’t. Being soloable doesn’t mean it’s good. Destiny, The Division, Sea of Thieves, Back for Blood, to name a few, are just not good solo.
I hate that I can appear like I act like that sometimes and I feel bad and entitled when I realize it. My thing with those games though can’t be expressed on here because it has so much depth that I can’t explain it easily.
Irony is too strong when Halo Infinite is mentioned.
This, this so much.
But apparently when people just say they prefer something there always have to be some negative comments about it. I’ve been quiet on that matter until now but I just don’t really get it.
Obviously it’s a good thing that studios are NOT forced to make something, that they can have creative freedom. But at the same time it’s perfectly understandable that some of us WISH that certain studios stick at what they do best, that’s all it is, we would love the best singleplayer experience we can get and have been getting from some studios.
Like you said, some games do it great like Borderlands but also some that are horrible with it like Sea of Thieves. Let’s take Witcher 3 for example, if that game had been made with co-op also in mind it would have definitely been a different game. Long story short I see nothing wrong with people here, wherever, hoping that they keep making SP games.
