Counter-counter point: No game is really immersive.
Every tree or foliage moves in Halo Infinite, but it’s really really subtle, so when moving around the map or shooting, you don’t see it. I think they went with a realistic approach, but I agree, it feels static and kind of fake.
Also, foliage reacts to explosions and footsteps. But again, you have to really pay attention.
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO
Literally no difference from Ubisoft games when comparing HZD and Tsushima besides maybe combat being tad better.
Yeah, me too. InXile had dropped off my radar a little and it feels like a big new game to me now and great to hear it’s going to be very well-budgeted.
Sony knows when to stop and use the extra resources on combat + polish . Thats the only difference .
Doesnt make the world, story or quest good tho which is what matters. Combat in AC is passable enough to be better than all these.
I don’t know man lol, Valhalla makes Tsushima look like the best game OAT.
The combat is lights years ahead of it.
Story wise, it isn’t even close as well.
Tsushima is one of the most boring games I have ever played so thats not saying much to me. After 8 hours you literally have seen everything the game has to offer from combat to exploration and whateverelse. The Combat just devolves into pressing the Triangle irrelevant of enemy type and stance and then slashing and the stealth is laughably horrible.
Waste of my time and money.
Eh, we’ll just agree to disagree. It was just simply on another tier compared to Valhalla to me lol.
Man everytime I was on Tsushima I was thinking Id rather be playing Assassins Creed Odyssey which I had dropped twice by that point
That was me every time I tried to finish Valhalla. Rather just play the better AC game in Tsushima
Seems like Far Cry 6 is getting rather middling impressions too. Ubisoft gotta get back to the drawing board for this generation.
To be fair to Ubisoft, I’m playing though Valhalla and it’s sticking for me better than GoT or even God of War. I think I’m up to 32 hours now. They have clearly patched the hell out of it as it looks amazing and runs flawlessly for me. The combat is miles better than those two as well, in my opinion.
Seems like Infinite has the best chance to end up being the most polished shooter releasing this holiday season.
Massive W for 343.
Very true. Though we’ve seen Obsidian’s versatility with Stick of Truth and KOTOR 2. Obsidian has talent for creating characters. They have 5 different leads. They’ve shown a nack of imitating classic Bioware in the distant past. They’re a true wild card.
I don’t doubt that Obsidian will deliver. I just mean that it seems like a lot of RPG studios prefer first person games if they have the opportunity and the budget. Probably due to deep role playing. After all CRPGs often has very very complex game mechanics, but the companies do CRPGs mainly due to the lack of budget as you save a lot on models and so on.
Between HZD/Tsushima and AC Origins/Odyssey, I would say that they’re all pretty equal to one another but HZD/Tsushima do have better combat and overall gameplay due to them feeling more fluid and responsive.
Compared to Valhalla though, HZD/Tsushima completely shit on it due to Valhalla’s combat and gameplay being clunky/stiff and stealth being completely broken.
I can agree with this for the most part. Sony puts more emphasis on what you said and story/characters where as Ubisoft loves giving the player a bigger world than the game before and after a while, it’s just too much.
I rated HZD/Tsushima, AC Origins/AC Odyssey all 9.5/10 for me personally but HZD/Tsushima won my GOTY for their respective year. Tsushima over Valhalla was a very easy choice as Valhalla takes a few steps back compared to the previous two. Odyssey lost to God of War for me. HZD/Origins is the closest but the combat/gameplay against the machines in HZD put it ahead for me because it was something fresh plus Guerrilla Games nailing an open world game on their first attempt speaks volumes on how great the studio is where as with Ubisoft and AC Origins, while it was changed to an RPG, it’s still AC and the eighth or so AC open world game so you know what to expect. With HZD, I didn’t know what to expect because GG was creating a game/genre they never did before.
I love Ubisoft but even I know that their open worlds are bloated, stories/characters can go either way hit or miss and in some cases like Valhalla or GR Breakpoint, completely miss the mark for me.
Tsushima for me was an 9.5/10 and my 2020 GOTY. I was expecting this to be Valhalla (8.0/10 for me) but nope, very disappointing. There’s so much that I disliked that I only completed the main stories, raids and viewpoints skipping everything else which I haven’t done in an AC game since Unity which for me, considering that im a 100% completionist for these games speaks volumes. Tsushima blows away Valhalla in combat/overall gameplay and story/characters. The side quest character storylines are better than any side content Valhalla has.
Wow. You have NOT seen everything after 8 hours and if anything, this should be replaced Valhalla because your description would be more fitting. Combat/gameplay becomes more as you progress through each region and the story. Valhalla doesn’t change at all. It’s the same shit from minute one all the way to the end, literally.
I know a lot of people here obviously don’t like Sony or their exclusives, fine whatever but as the #1 Ubisoft fan here and trust me, no one here is even close to me, Tsushima shits all over Valhalla to where it’s not even funny, it’s just sad.
But to each their own I guess. And doesn’t look like Far Cry 6 is doing as great as I was expecting which probably has more to do with me being a huge Ubisoft fanboy as opposed to being realistic. UGH.
Playing Tsushima, I never once wanted to go back to playing AC. Tsushima is basically the Samurai game that majority have wanted from Ubisoft but never got. When I was playing Valhalla, I did wish I was playing Tsushima though. lol
To each their own Javier. It is what it is. I’m surprised you dropped Odyssey twice but yet are enjoying Valhalla??? Better off playing Odyssey by far. Valhalla is so damn disappointing and has so many issues that it only beats out Unity for me. Black Flag/Rogue/Syndicate/Origins and Odyssey are all superior AC games and games in general.
Agree with all of this.
For me GOT >> Valhalla . Didn’t even bother to finish that game .
Back to the topic tho
Its okay to be wrong
