Honestly I can’t see why multiple teams within XGS can’t work on it. InXile, Obsidian and Bethesda, I know they are working on their own games and I don’t mean the entire studios working on it but if you pool people maybe it could work who knows haha.
Not that I know and I bet if we were to ask Pete we wouldn’t get any info on that, lol. If we look at the stuff that is coming out…
The last RPG we know about will probably be in 2025, it being TES VI. That’s five years since the start of the generation, I don’t see it ending anytime soon, might get an extension like One X even maybe? So a Fallout 5 could be 2026, which is still freaking late, lmao.
Kinda wish Obsidian had waited with a new ToW already and went with Fallout 5 instead, but that’s only because I just love Fallout so much and also knowing they’d do a bang up job!
1:14 still gives me chills. I love F076 but new updates won’t replace the impact and power of Fallout 5 with the Creation Engine 2 and bells and whistles. Or even a remake of New Vegas. Bring it on !
Hope the TV series will be good.
I love Fallout 76 now, but I’d be lying if I said I’m not anxiously waiting for Fallout 5. I think BGS are aware too
Keep in mind that the hiatus isn’t due to poor reception, critically or commercially, but simply due to limited resources, but under Xbox they’ve been on a hiring spree for their three BGS studios, so that may change sooner rather than later.
I wonder if they will just put Bethesda Austin on the new Fallout whilst the main Bethesda team work on Elder after Starfield of course.
After Fallout 76’s update cycle ends anyway
RIP dogmeat
What I also wonder is, would BGS now be fine with another studio making Fallout, even if they are all one family basically now?
Because after New Vegas I remember BGS saying that they would be the only ones making Fallout games from now on. Something along those lines.
Thing is Im not sure they want the first fallout to come out under xbox to not come from them you know? Thats why I dont believe if its not from BGS we arent getting one and thats fine even tho it sucks at the same time.
But we got a plethora of rpg’s coming so …
I remember I almost killed Dogmeat in Fallout 3 in the scrapyard with grenades because I first though it was an hostile dog belonging to the Raiders lol.
BGS is made up of 3 studios. As of now Maryland is the clear lead and the other 2 just support whatever Maryland wants to do.
I personally believe Todd Howard’s team is better suited to make Elder Scrolls games and Starfield seems like it will be a huge hit. Instead of waiting for a decade and a half for Todd Howard and his team to cycle through games (realistically, how long can we even expect Howard to be in game dev at this point) I would prop up BGS Austin to be the Fallout studio. They’ve done a great job with 76, they deserve a shot.
This is getting a bit old, no offense to you in particular. Yes, we have a lot of RPG’s coming, but no they are not Fallout. This is not a good argument everytime fans are asking for a game.
We can apply this to when some of us ask for licensed games and we get the game pass games argument so I feel you Mort.
Totally agree. And it’s not like it was their fault for it being rushed at launch on that old engine. That was entirely down to shareholders wanting more money with little investment into any projects before selling.
You know what I want more than Fallout 5 rn? Wolfy 3 …
Indiana Jones is set in the Wolfenstein universe where Indi must find the Ark of the covenant again.
Haha yeah.
“I would really like a hamburger!” -Shut up, there are a lot of vegan sausages to choose from.
the “Ark” is functional now cause the Nazi managed to restore it and it’s a flying airship
It’s also rumored that Bluepoint doesn’t just want to make remakes. So unless the amount of money overcomes any hesitance, they may want more creative freedom, and frankly they probably deserve a shot at it at this point.
