Xbox Game Studios |OT6| But wait, there's MORE....studios

They would have to hand the project to external studios, we know for a fact all XGS and Zenimax studios are working on something at full capacity.

A Marvel fighting game from WB owned NetherRealm? I mean, I’ve seen many rumours, but this one is really something. XD

Was talking to a buddy of mine and he asked me why in god’s name Fallout New Vegas didn’t get One X enhanced. I wasn’t even aware of this, but do we know a reason other than that it just hasn’t happened? It’s sad if that game is still stuck at 720p or so.

Fallout as a series is inherently Americana so I dont know how that works.

There’s some huge Fallout London mod out that Bethesda was so impressed with that they hired the writer from it.

I wanna see a Fallout China though. Im about done with Fallout in America.

I have that with GTA. It’s really time to try out a new country, but here we are likely going back to Miami, sigh.

GTA should do Texas. Lots of stories to be told in that setting. 3-4 characters. A Mexican immigrant struggling to get away from cartel. A Clint Eastwood Texas ranger struggling with corruption in policing. An ex football player struggling with a stacked against him American life.

Texas is perfect if you think about it. Mix up Dallas, Austin, San Antonio. Side characters like crooked politicians, country singers, and billionaires trying to fly to space. Serious issues like racism, police accountability and immigration. Gun culture, gangs, drugs, cops, army, big cities, historic and diverse.

China has 0% chance of happening in my opinion. I think London is the only non-US location that could work (though I don’t believe that it’s 100% necessary for the franchise, a Fallout New York would have 0 problem selling).

Texas could be cool, you’re right. But 4 characters? A bit too much, I think the game will start to lose focus with that many. I would honestly be fine with just one protagonist again.

I was really hoping Rockstar would now finally go to something new. I mean we’ve had Liberty City twice now and LA too. I am sure they’ll make an amazing Miami, but I’d still have loved to see something they haven’t done before. But let’s first see what the game will even be like , what with the rumors of a Fortnite’ish evolving map.

I’m surprised to see Microsoft no longer wanting to continue their relationship with Remedy, Alan Wake remaster just got announced. Wonder what stopped Xbox from wanting to continue to publish with Remedy?

XGSP is literally publishing the campaign to CrossfireX.

CrossfireX is only a timed exclusive.

Their games were underwhelming, long and costly to make.

I enjoyed Quantum Break a lot :man_shrugging:

Is it?

CrossfireX is still listed as Xbox exclusive on some materials.

It was ok, minus the tv part, but it bombed. Nobody funds a third AAA game after two commercial bombs. It certainly paid the X1 stink like other games, but Remedy missed every possible deadline, it’s clear they are not efficient, nor their games are particularly well optimised.

Control was also a great game too and they made it in like the span of 2-3 years on a much tighter budget than Quantum Break.

And it shows, I mean, they completely axed Hollywood cast, tv show and cinematics, which are the costly parts of Quantum Break. Control is a repurposed and scaled down QB2 in all but name.

I think that Control was a terrible game compared to Quantum Break. But just my opinion.

I dont think Control was terrible but I didnt think it was great either

Same environments everywhere, very little enemy variety, boring selection of weapons and the story was surprisingly boring for such a weird one

I miss the Max Payne Remedy days, Im quite critical when it comes to MS not funding enough third party exclusives but I dont blame them for not moving forward with Remedy anymore

Even if they did, hindsight is 20/20. Only thing to go by was previous performance.

Also, I’m sure you can tell that there was a lot of reuse from QB to Control.
