We should also not forget that all of these games end up on Game Pass on day one and they will never leave. It has become clear that for MS it’s really much, much more about getting people subscribed to Game Pass than selling consoles and probably physical/digital games too. So there really shouldn’t be a need to keep a AAA RPG from releasing the same year as another RPG.
You want top quality content on your service, having a first person RPG and a third person RPG in the same year only makes that service much more attractive. Truly hope and expect MS sees it that way too.
Yeah I know, wtf bro. Nah that can’t be the right way of thinking.
That would mean Howard and team spends SIX years making TES VI. I guess it will depend on if they do expansions for Starfield, because then full development for TES VI could be a year later.
Xbox is proud to announce that Fallout 5 will release on October 23, 2077 at 9:43 A.M. EST. Launch event to have fireworks to celebrate the long-awaited release of the game.
Yeah, it could be an action open world like Pearl Abyss, the make of another famous MMO, are doing with Crimson Desert and DokeV.
Fallout 2025 is much more unlikely than the mandate of 1 RPG each year, nobody is making a Fallout game (at least not a full fledged one, there are some rumours about remasters and collections at best) and Bethesda Game Studios may want to do it. Todd himself after Starfield and TES VI might want to retire with a bang and a last Fallout game.
I was referring to TGA in that post, not TGS. I never mentioned TGS anywhere. Also I’m obviously not saying any of these games will make an appearance, I’m just giving examples of announced games that are deep in production which may always be a candidate for a new trailer at any upcoming game show. I also used “or”, not “and”. Xbox will – obviously – not show all these 4 games at one random TGA show lol … Why do I even have to clear that up?
It’s quite clear Xbox will have something again at TGA. The past shows that they like that stage. Whatever that will be remains to be seen.
The focus since the MS Flight Sim release is clearly on their strong line-up this year. They had a great E3 Summer show this Summer, they don’t need their focus anywhere else right now.
If F76 gets some Series X enhancements down the road and thaf Pitt expedition is well received they will just pour it into that until main BGS team can make another one I suppose.
Yeah, that’s also my assumption, one of the mythic legacy games which will be supported as long it makes sense. Some Fallout experts like MrMattyPlays speculated that Bethesda is wary of releasing even Fallout remasters/collections and weaken F76 recovery process, they may fear a Fallout 4 remaster with coop could drain its playerbase. We’ll see, I would find strange MS would get one game only for an entire generation from a franchise this big, considering also Bethesda is full on deck on the collectors/remasters train. A hope it would be a remake more than a remaster, so we would save ourselves from the legacy thing and concurelrently we would get a game with real next gen visuals (obviously not mechanics).
Which studio would do it? Obsidian is full hands on deck with Avowed, TOW2, Grounded and Sawyer game (at least, if I remember well there was a rumour about 5 projects). BGS is similarly unavailable and no other XGS or Zenimax studios is particularly known for remakes other than 343 and The Coalition, which are bounded to Halo and Gears. Bluepoint? It could be a huge plot twist, they are no rpg experts, but if they do a 1:1 remake they would not change gameplay mechanics, only cosmetic and stability of the game.
I know. Idle Sloth posted your list and mixed up TGA with TGS. I mentioned that I didn’t think you meant TGS because none of those four games would debut gameplay in Japan anyway.
I do think that Redfall is the most likely to be shown at TGA since it’s the only game of the four with a release window. My bet is that and a teaser trailer for Kojima’s game if Microsoft gets a deal done with him.
I agree. Flight Simulator, Psychonauts 2, Age of Empires IV, Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite along with their third party marketing deals, Indies and Game Pass is more than enough for the second half of this year.
And he is correct tbh. Game just needs proper next gen enhancements like ESO got and keep on pushing content.
No better way to satisfy people and prove people wrong than to deliver on your roadmap and keep people entertained … something for example Anthem didnt do and never recovered.
