Xbox Game Studios |OT5| DOOM posting not allowed. Except for posting about DOOM

Starfield isnt a game you release in Feb-March. It’s too big of a project for it. If its 2022, it will be November

It doesn’t always need to be holiday season sony and Nintendo have proved it

Of course but I believe for Bethesda it still is.

We may find out at e3

Wolfenstein III for March-May 2022 always more sense to me. Halo in November 2021 of course.

Still not convinced its Horizon 5 this year either

I don’t believe anything Jason Schreier says, he has no idea what is happening at Xbox. Did he ever apologize for being wrong about 343i?

He won’t

I only accept official information from Starfield etc. now. we are just a few weeks away from E3. So… lets stop wasting time with these guys.

Posting for posterity to show that by his own admission, Schreier is not infallible. Nor is Grubb. Nor is Matty. Nor is Skullzi. Nor is Nick. Nor is Jez. Nor is Point. Nor is Nate Drake. Nor is Klob. Nor is Shinobi. Most of them are more right than wrong, but let’s wait the 3 weeks and see what happens.

In the meantime, let’s talk about the one great unifier on this forum: Crackdown 4.

Avowed started dev in 2018. Covid is bad, but possible vaccinations expediting late stage QA and preexisting Lore and modified Unreal 4 help. Not sure 100% when. Summer 23 maybe? I guess Holiday like Hindle says but that is dependent on what else they have by then. I personally had my money on 2022 but who knows. Omen and Starfield will definitely scratch the WRPG itch so there is less harm in giving it more time.

If Indy is 2027 your power will be immeasurable.

Haha could be wrong about that. I’m standing by it, but yea we will see.

I’m more interested if I’m right about Forza, where it’s something else launching this year and not FH 5

100% with you. The dialogue for gaming is that we must know what is happening at all times. I just like finding out when it is announced. It could be an age thing or maybe a holdover from the years of reading hyper magazine, pc powerplay and so many others. You would find out about a game when it is announced, 6 months before, you get a preview then a month before, a review.

Kinda wish it went back to those days but engagement and groundswell behind a title seem to dominate how we talk about games.

I’m with ya in having my doubts about FH5 compared to Motorsport which is in actuve flighting but we’ll have to see. My gut says Motorsport, my mind says FH5 due to all the teases including the Mexico one from MS themselves.

Just doesnt make sense theyll reveal two Forza games at the same time, and FH 4 is doing big sales still and is receiving updates

I’m with you. Getting really tired of letting myself get dragged along by insiders on social media and elsewhere. These last few days has been a bit of an eye opener for me peronally, they way most of them just follow and backs up each others statements, walking back etc. is getting a bit silly.

If it wasn’t so godamn quiet from the studios, publishers and platformholders themselves this wouldn’t be an issue. With Xbox we are in that waiting mode still, and latch on to any little rumour like it’s known facts like starving baby birds.

It’s stupid and I’m over it. Unless it’s from the source I consider it bs from now on.
