Xbox Game Studios |OT5| DOOM posting not allowed. Except for posting about DOOM

The only reason I suspect FH5 might be a thing is that it will be 3 years since the last game this fall, and they usually ship with 2 years between. That would be an extra year for COVID-19.

But, we haven’t heard anything from Playground so it’s not something that should make any lists. If it’s there, nice. If it’s not, well there’s always next year.

I refuse to believe that BGS reveals a game in June 2021 and doesnt launch it till November 2022 because thats not how they work. I also refuse to believe that a service like game pass which needs to keep attracting people with new content on a frequent basis will arbitrarily hold games for Holiday cycles. Worst case I see for Starfield is June.

Also this could all be smoke and mirrors and its BGS and Xbox running disinformation campaigns.

Still talking about Jason and rumors?

Ignore him, it’s the lost time, the information he has is already with the other journalists, nobody wants to spill anything but he LOVES to do that, you know, it’s his favorite food and what makes him famous.

I would rather from Xbox Gamers this week to download Scarlet Nexus, play it, stream it, be the game’s voice and help the devs to success on Xbox first and other consoles second. This what brings devs support <3

Fable is late 2024, speculation of course

And Microsoft lest we forget the myriad of examples, including Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The idea that games have to release in holiday, especially with Game Pass, is such an outdated concept.

We don’t know anything yet.

It could be that with Bethesda becoming an Xbox studio, the scope and possibilities for the game got bigger? Pretty much all of the games from the “new” studios have taken the opportunity to make their games better by taking more time. Something they could not afford to do before.

This, yes. Holiday sales might have mattered in the distant past when games where for kids who got 1-2 games a year. It has been proven again and again that a good game can release whenever the f they please and be a hit.

Xbox Game Pass needs its subs year round.

What would be a real big fucking bummer on top of this news, assuming it’s true, Starfield either a no show or just another teaser. But a second teaser is not Bethesda’s way of doing things. Skyrim was announced at VGA and the year after it got a trailer showing the game world and released that same year too. But neither is it their way to show the game and have it still being 1.5 years till launch.

God, I miss the times that BGS released games more often. If not for that cursed Fallout 76 things would have looked way different.

I agree but for Todd Howard and his team, hes all about that Holiday period.

Well jason said its just a teaser

man only one big game for holiday ? well there is AOE 4 but that on PC only so yeah…

as for MFS i’m interested to see how many of console players will continue to play it after first month or even week lol it’s niche title aimed to hardcore. look at PC launch after 1 month and the game is forgotten only enthusiast about flying sim still play it.

Well, they are not dependant on sales anymore either. The beuty of Xbox Game Pass.

MS are going to release games of all genres in each quarter, but theyll never release the same genre in each quarter, it leads to them hindering each other

well they still have to bring great GP Numbers

If Todd Howard wants his game out in the Holidays, that’s what he will get

Yes but I doubt that is tied to the holidays to the same extent as selling copies.

Yes, I’m sure he gets what he wants. I’m just saying it’s not a necessity anymore.

Depends on the studio as well,I think they get to pick when they launch

Oh he said that? Guess I was so disappointed that I didn’t realize I was reading that too. Then I don’t know why they even bother. Unless this teaser just shows something…tangible.
