Lmao, instead of anonymously flagging, why don’t you say what you don’t agree with, there is nothing offensive or controversial.
Did people even watched the God of War documentary or the history of BioShock: Infinite development? You will be shocked to found out how many games are nowhere near done even a year before release
What a prophet
Jason has not kept up with the Starfield rumour mill if he thinks any time in '22 is way later than most people expected
The very best
Literally everyone were coping for 2021 release even when Grubb said it’s not this year. There is alot of people who believe in every rumor
These people don’t want Microsoft to go bankrupt!!! /s
Honestly… I’m just ready to get a damn date for E3. It’s usually Sunday for Xbox, but I need a little bit of confirmation since I’ll be helping the effort on the team and would need to take time off.
Gotta think its next monday or tuesday so some people can call off work if they have it to watch the show
Yes, it’s about time
Man I definitely owe an apology to @Hindle. Sorry bro. Your 2023-2024+ predictions don’t seem so crazy now
Anyway, are we more hyped for The Ascent or Psychonauts 2???
Thank you for the welcome. I only worry that a lot of the goodwill that xbox has generated gets lost thanks again to the ‘no game’ narrative. I know a lot of it was the purchased studios having to finish off games for previous publishing deals while ramping up there staff but only having halo, possibly starfield and then a bit of a question mark over other titles in the first 18 months isn’t a great look. I really hope we get a better idea of the next year’s road map at E3 and would be very happy at something like halo infinite, starfield, Arkane Austins omen project, wolfenstein 3, forza horizon 5 and then games like Psychonauts 2, flight sim and the other previously announced titles(12 minutes, stalker 2,etc) atleast getting penciled in dates for release. Even if for whatever reason some of those games get delays
Saw this comment on another site…
Basically this dude says he finds it strange that Jason says BGS put the full focus on Starfield starting in 2019 and before that it was fully on F76. According to him BGS Austin was mostly working on 76 and BGS Maryland was only lending support here and there for the engine and most of them was busy on Starfield.
He goes on to say that it was even said during the NoClip documentary by Howard himself.
Hmmm. It’s been a while since I saw the doc.
Damn I want both so bad, more hyped for Psychonauts 2.
Starfield will release in the first half of 2022, likely in March or April.
Thought the same LMAO. Covid is worse than we thought. Glad this is hopefully over with vax soon.
I would say… Jason is wrong about a lot of what he’s saying and I have no clue what he’s talking about.
The Ascent for me but Psychonauts 2 looks great dont know if I am going to play it cause I didnt play the first one
Microsoft needs more acquisitions for first party content. When we’re customers paying a monthly service fee of $14.99 a month we should expect more first party content to rollout a little faster.
Bethesda is great but we still don’t have enough exclusive content rolling out, from the rumors its starting to sound like even next year will be a little light on the content. Microsoft isn’t just competing with PlayStation and Nintendo for our time. They are competing with Netflix, EA (Apex Legends), Epic Games (Fortnite), Amazon (Twitch), Google (YouTube) etc.
They are competing for our leisure time and our money. I get it, triple A games take time. Meanwhile Embracer Group is acquiring every small sized studio left to right, the types of studios that can push our games every year to two years. The type of stuff to fill in the gaps between the AAA.
This is where Microsoft should maybe look into a little more. Buy like twenty different AA/Indie studios this year so we can have a more packed generation full of stuff. We want great Game Pass exclusive content!
Pillars 1 and 2 are great! Had a hard time getting into pillars 1 since I was constantly comparing it to Baldur’s gate 2, but when it finally clicked it became one of my favourite games ever. Deadfire is in a lot of ways an improvement on the first game, but also has an annoying overworld to traverse with the ship and the main plot seems disconnected to the rest of the game at times. Still a terrific game though and one of my favourite games when it comes to potential gear and character building.
