Same here. It looks beautiful, but we don’t really know for sure what the game is about so hard to get excited as you say. I would also say that we have had two trailers now and the next time we see it it has to be a gameplay demo.

HOW OFTEN HAVE THIS TO BE REPEATED.

The statement always was they currently work on gameplay ideas NOT we haven’t made any gameplay.

And @Klobrille has already said himself it is normal that gameplay is worked on until finalized, what else is development for?

The game is further along than you think. When was this game shown? 2019. Probably been in development since 2018.

This has to be the most wrong mistake on games from XGS.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the game is still in early concept. In fact we have already seen game assets which would suggest the game is well into full production. My assumption is that during the course of playtesting the gameplay loop was found to be lacking in someway and they are trying to find a way to make it better. Game development is not an exact science and these things happen during the course of it.

Toying around with gameplay ideas does’nt mean that they haven’t come up with the core gameplay loop. This process is also pretty normal in gamedev.

I’m somewhat off but close enough. They’re playing around with gameplay ideas meaning that they haven’t finalized anything outside of probably the art style. If there’s no gameplay this year and I will say there won’t be, then yeah, it’s 2023 if we’re lucky.

Well that is my interpretation of what we have seen and the quotes that were made lol. But the game is definitely well into production otherwise we would have gotten CGI trailers instead of in-engine.
