The Show is a Sony 1st party game, people forgot. XD Phil was a master tactician, he stole the thunder at least from this release. Coincidentally the critic score took a hit, lmao.

So you want them to push out a game before it’s finished so that Xbox owners can tell Playstation owners they have an exclusive during the 1st half too? Not sure what good that would do. Development schedules don’t always line up so that 1st party games are available every half year or every quarter. They could have had something lined up but COVID changed the schedule. It’s not like owners of the Series X has had nothing to play this year, with or without Game Pass.
Also I’d like to point out that for a “Xbox Game Studios” thread, there is entirely too much focus on Playstation 1st party titles and not in a good way.
And whatever impact that game will have will still be there when it launches next year. We all know that every platform has slow years, that doesn’t make them bad years. After they released 10+ titles last year, we knew this year wouldn’t be as stacked.
Give it time. We’ll get more 1st party titles than what we know what to do with.

I agree. What I said I don’t understand is people talking about how great their 2021 lineup has been so far, that I simply don’t agree with. But you are right in the rest, I was only criticizing this notion of how great their 2021 is being.

The amount of people who play a game does not determine whether a game is good or not.

I like Arkane and Bethesda Game Studio more than any Sony studio if I’m going to be honest with myself. If you guys want Sony games you could’ve always bought a PS4 or PS5.
I owned a PS4 for a good few years and sold it last September to get a Nintendo Switch, a few days later BETHESDA was acquired by Microsoft.
If Omen is just Dishonored with vampires I’m going to be very happy to own an Xbox these next few months

Yes it will, but we are talking about this year and the impact it would’ve had for Xbox, at least that’s what I am doing.
Xbox have had a tad bit more of the “slow years” than most though And waiting has become a meme.

Yeah they’ll mega hype any first-party game, but that’s the name of the game…
If you have nothing to show, then you’ll get behind, IMO I couldn’t care less about the PS5 games, but it’s what moves people to buy it, because it’s simply there.
Xbox needs this too, it has the ammunition it just needs to use it correctly.

I “want” a better Xbox 1st party release schedule honestly, 2022 will be the year when they must prove their value honestly after almost 5 years of reorganisation, I care for the brand and I don’t like the continuous (and generally accepted) conception that Xbox has bad/no exclusives and like any narrative, even the stupid ones, it has a point, expecially with barren periods like this one (6+ months is a big window, 2 financial quarters).

That’s the biggest straw man fallacy I’ve seen in a while. I didn’t crap on PlayStation exclusives - I have a PS5 and my favorite game last year was Ghost of Tsushima - , I crap on XBOX USERS saying how great Sony’s 2021 has been so far when in reality they have launched two commercial flops and nothing else. The quality is there, I’m not questioning that.

Eh, I think this year is better than most of the Xbox One years. As long as we’re seeing an improvement from that generation, I’m happy.

… That is not the point i was trying to make it was without Bethesda MS would be very light on games I Love Dishonored but didnt like the New Prey and Omen sounds like a game I would enjoy
