It COULD be, sure. If they want that to be part of the game

I’m thinking they won’t, but I’m not an insider. Or even a fake insider, for that matter

Cool!

tbh some of the best games recently have released early in the year like Sekiro, GoW 2018, DOOM Eternal, AC:H, Ori WOTW, etc and generally have been the ones actually getting nominated and winning a lot of awards.

Halo Infinite’s forge is going to be one of the most important mode of the game, and we haven’t see it yet

I’m really interested, Forge look to have HUGE possibilities

If its true, then 343i and Xbox learn a lot from the success of Minecraft. They are clearly gearing towards player generated content market.

Also, " if players want to see a battle royal mode, they can just create it "

Well, Bethesda’s games are literally alive through generations due to that basically.

Oh yes! Another great example.

Every time I am reminded of Perfect Dark I just scream to the sky ā€œWHO IS PLAYING JOANNA?!ā€. No reply at all.

Finished Doom Eternal today. The last boss is one of the sweatiest gaming moments I can remember - it does push you to the limits of what you’ve learnt in the game. For the duration of Eternal, every time I thought I had it figured, the game then presents you with a new enemy or situation that forces you to rethink and ever adapt. I had never played a Doom game before, and perhaps Eternal probably wasn’t the better initiation to the series (should have played Doom 2016 first), but anyway I loved how absolutely intense this game is. How it forces you to be so agressive and always be in the heat of the moment scavenging for health, armor or ammo. I usually play much more defensive if I ever have a chance in a game, but there is almost no way you can do that in Eternal.

Anyway, all to say thank you, id Software, for a very memorable gaming experience with some of the best graphics I’ve ever seen in a game, and just really tight intense shooting gameplay . I absolutely can’t wait to see what this very talented Xbox studio will create now that they have the full backing of Microsoft, and the full creative freedoom that I hope Game Pass brings (not that this studio didn’t seem to have it, anyway). Personally I’d love for id to create a new IP, but I absolutely wouldn’t complain about a new Doom as well. They’ve said The Ancient Gods - Part II closes the story of the Doom Slayer, which means that if there is a Doom in the future, it will follow some other character.

Anyway, rip and tear, until it is done.

Holy shit, I’ve just realized that Costume Quest was developed by Double Fine! Hopefully the IP isn’t dead!

depends on Tim plan for his studio, i think they should have one big team handle games like Psychonauts 2 and one small team handle games like custom quest, broken age…etc

Preach brother! DOOM Eternal is so unapologetically proud to be a videogame that’s really refreshing to see nowadays especially in the AAA space. The whole gameplay loop works like clockwork (as you said health → armor → ammo), enemy variety and quality is comparable to the best character action games and the balance of it’s weapon sandbox is amazing considering the number of weapons and mods. And that only covers the combat aspect of the game, the levels are also varied both visually and design wise, traversal is so much fun and the pacing is excellent. Can’t wait to see what the next gen patch will bring to the table tech wise, id Tech 7 is a beast of an engine.

The whole package of Eternal with the 3 master levels and both expansions now is one of the best games ever made IMO, can’t wait to see what their next project is with MS’s backing now.

The Marauder was the one enemy you absolutely couldn’t cheese in any way or form. Learned weapon swapping with that enemy the hard way

Absolutely ā€œhatedā€ facing the Marauder (in a good way). It made me a better player in the end.
