Thanks. Yeah, graphics aside, I absolutely loved how they showed off Halo. The gameplay looked great, they picked a fantastic part of the game to use as a vertical slice, and it was all around pretty exciting (and I don’t think Halo is that exciting to watch tbh, much more exciting to play, but they really picked a great selection here).
I was team 20 by 20th anniversary, it’s shaping up to be 23. So I’ll say 25 (Asobo and Bungie or Turtle Rock).
Releasing Starfield during the World Space Week would be interesting ! Didn’t know about this annual event.
Literally none of them have been good enough to score that high though. Yooka laylee was bad, a hat in time was good but not great, and new super luckys tale is fairly good
Yep, expectations are simply higher than what they were 15+ years ago. I won’t comment on those indie games as they’re not for me but it is surprising they were rated that low because vast majority of indie games, especially if they’re the 8/16 bit retro style usually score pretty well.
I stopped going by reviews a very long time ago but at the same time, I have also raised my expectations for every game im interested in playing. If I don’t believe that the game is at the very least an 8.0/10 for me personally, I skip it. I will not waste my money or more importantly, my time. I have played too many 6’s and 7’s over the last 15 years as well as some 8’s (mainly COD/BF) in which I look back and ask myself - did I really need to play that game? If my answer is no, that tells me everything I need to know.
This is why I skipped COD: BOCW because while the campaign looks great and action packed, it’s the same shit that I have already done several times over the course of last generation.
Back to Psychonauts 2, I’ll stick with my mid-70’s rating by critics but majority of gamers who play it will enjoy it a lot more.
Story told during firefights? Oh wow. That’s bad. That’s definitely a negative in my eyes. In general, I have never played Halo and was going to play through the six main games, then just the last four but then I was like, screw it, I will just wait for Halo Infinite and go in fresh with the new entry into the series since playing the older games will get tiresome very quickly and I don’t want playing the older games to ruin my anticipation and excitement for Infinite.
To be perfectly honest, im not a 3D platformer guy at all and the only one that im interested in is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and only because I played the 2016 reboot about a year ago and I can’t believe that I slept on the game for almost four years but in fairness, it’s much more than a platformer as it has shooting and melee combat with platforming, underwater sections and puzzles to an extent. If it didn’t have all this other stuff in the game and was just a platformer like Mario, no thanks, it’s a skip. lol.
We should all predict when Starfield is releasing and make some kind of bet for whoever is closest to the release date without going past it wins. lmao.
Really I played Hivebusters and it looked good but its getting way overhyped here. Its just a standalone 3 hour story with nice vistas.
Aside from that nothing else besides the linear aspect.
Blasphemy!!!
“a fun year with early surprises for Forza Horizon 4”
What??
Maybe, FH4 will be coming to Steam too. For Sea of Thieves, I would say it has to do with Season 1 that will be beginning this month, and Rare said that each season will have a significant drop of content.
Hmmm interesting
Oh, that is a good guess.
Microsoft needs to get an exclusive souls game. one that will never come to other systems. That would be great. Pay for it Phil
2021 wishes:
1- Xbox Direct Show
2- HI marketing campaign begins from Feb & the 1st gameplay “from final game” on March.
3- Publishing team announce 3 AAA games, new IP this year, 2 returning IPs next year.
4- FH5 this year (series/ Pc only) X1 with XCloud.

6- Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth finished this year and released on Xbox.

To summarize, I’ll be happy with HI, FH5, AAA “2nd party” from Xbox this year. Next Year the real generation should begin.
I’m not into buying studios, I care more about new games and especially gamepass games, but just for fun:

Mid 70 you say?
If Psychonauts 2 is a good game with fun gameplay, creativ lvls and a good story is has very high chances to score a high 80. Bandicoot 4 is a recent example.
The fact that MS has been throwing the game’s name around quite a few times since the Bethesda news is interesting. Hopefully that’s a sign!
Is this the start of the tide shifting? seems like all Xbox needs to do now is release some bangers and maybe people will actually take Xbox seriously. I honestly thought it would take longer but if some people from big gaming media platforms that aren’t really pro Xbox in anyway are saying this stuff without a big game, maybe Xbox does have a chance.
I do wonder if people who have always had a slight against Xbox will quickly turn that around too incase Xbox gets popular again lol because I do feel like there is a few that do it because it’s popular to hate on Xbox, gets way more clicks than positive things thats for sure.
2021 is gonna be a big year for XGS, can’t bloody wait for Halo, which has a huge chance to be a big hit with it hitting PC and console too. The Twitch numbers for Halo Infinite on launch could be massive now it’s on both platforms which is another huge reason why I think MS wants it everywhere. In the eyes of some people Twitch veiws = how popular the game is or how good it is. Twitch for sure is really good marketing for the game if the game is good which could make the game seen as a huge hit.
Sea of Thieves is attracting a shitload of new players again this holiday it seems. Currently 40 thousand concurrent players, peaked at 50 thousand yesterday.
Rightfully
Now add xbox and win 10 player and we are easily over 100 000 players concurrent
