Holy shit some of you lot need to chill lol, I don’t like this new “wE mUsT hAvE aNnOuNcEmEnTs EveRy WeEk” thats started ever since the Bethesda deal. If you don’t think the games are coming then you’re not really paying attention, yes I know people are sick of hearing the just wait line (people shouldn’t have been saying that in the past) but now when someone says just wait there is proof in the pudding. MS is going to have a total of 23 studios with 30+ more teams, whereas in the past when people said just wait they had like 6.
The GAMES ARE COMING without a doubt, if you want to think of it in the way that it’s really bad for Xbox launching without many games well you could say the PS4 did that also yet look at how well it sold. People can’t even buy the bloody consoles FFS so in all honesty this generation hasn’t even started as far as I’m concerned.
Agreed. Microsoft has the quantity aspect and all they need to do is have the quality. Microsoft has the best consoles, the best controller, the best online multi-player, the best subscription service, the best features and are still increasing their studios to get that aspect to being the best as well. All they need to do is get their quality level high. Once they do that, Microsoft will have every aspect covered.
Halo Infinite, Perfect Dark, Fable, Avowed, Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, State of Decay 3, Starfield, The Elder Scrolls VI, Wolfenstein III and Gears 6 for me. Have to wait and see what Arkane’s, InXile’s and Compulsion’s games are before deciding.
Yeah I agree there would 100% be games planned for this year in the slot of Halo so either they get a delay so they can work on the game more and do more polish and bugfixes which I’m super ok with or we’re going to have a stacked year haha. I feel like 2021 would’ve probably been the kick off to when XGS really hits the ground running but I think COVID has kinda screwed it up a bit, 2022 will be the full kick off and it’s going to be glorious, doesn’t mean 2021 won’t be great either just 2022 is when I expect the full effect of all the teams to kick in.
I was an Xbox 360 guy and Microsoft deciding to pack in Kinect for $500 plus the always online, etc. stuff turned me off completely. I was never a Kinect guy at all and being forced to pay an extra $100 for the console because of it just annoyed the shit out of me so I didn’t buy Xbox One until the ROTTR bundle two years later.
Xbox first party in 2020 had Gears Tactics, Fligh Simulator, Bleeding Edge, Hivebusters, Wasteland 3, Ori and The will of Wisps, Minecraft Dungeons, Tell me Why, Battletoads, plus some remasters and continuous support for multiple games.
Yea I almost switched to playstation even though I don’t like playstation that’s how pissed I was at Microsoft in 2013 fortunately they reversed the policies but the damage was already done
A lot of people would’ve made the move and this is the chance to get those people back before they get too ingrained into other platforms. If Halo Infinite is really good I can see people come back.
Dark days best forgotten haha. Got my day one edition coming from an Xbox 360. Also day one for each iteration of the One and now Series X. It’s been a long road but the future has never looked brighter for gaming on Xbox.
I think Javier was talking about Series X/S games. Gears Tactics and Hivebusters expansion would be the games. All those games were Xbox One or in the case of Flight Simulator, PC only thus far.
I switched from Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4 and purchased PS4 in May 2014. It eventually became my #1 all time gaming console surpassing the now #2 all time gaming console Xbox 360. I eventually purchased the Xbox One ROTTR bundle in November 2015.
Xbox Series X was the console that I purchased the soonest from launch. Two months. PlayStation 5 was three months after launch and PlayStation 4 was six months after launch. All other consoles I have ever purchased and owned were all over a year after release.
