My two cents about the Xbox first party situation is that Xbox has never had a good first party output. After Bungie left and Digital Anvil, FASA, Ensemble and Lionhead were closed, it became even worse. Most of Xbox’s exclusives have always been third party.
- OG Xbox (Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive 3, Jet Set Radio Future etc.)
- Xbox 360 (Gears of War, Lost Odyssey, Crackdown etc.)
- Xbox One (Quantum Break, Dead Rising 3, Ryse etc.)
Now Xbox has a huge amount of studios, so first party output shouldn’t be a problem anymore, but it’s going to take a year or two before the wheels start turning. I think Xbox could’ve avoided the criticism if they had a couple of bigger third party exclusives for 2021.
Xbox Global Publishing is part of Xbox Game Studios. Trying to draw a line between then doesn’t make sense.

I understand what he/you wrote perfectly.
But my point is: This is artificially limiting the output to make a dull point.
Miles Morales is no more next gen game than any other game that has been updated to take advantage of the SX hardware, or already made with it in mind to reap the benefits.
So what Sony decided to not update that the games they put out on late Ps4 life to PS5? That makes a negative impact on their portfolio, not on Ms’.
Ms owners had more 'st games to play that made use of the new hardware that’s the only fact that matters.

I don’t expect to hear anything major from XGS until the summer. Even then I will meter my expectations. Think it’s going to be relatively quiet until this time 2022 tbh.

curious is the “low” views of this video, they need to work on engagement on their Youtube channel. bring people from “twitter team Xbox” and put them on to improve YT.
This was 6 months ago lol. Half a year. Fully understandable why people would want more consistent gaming news but the reality just needs to be embraced at this point.

They need to completely rework expectations with the team who manages YouTube. They routinely do not update their page with content that’s available on all the other social media avenues they use on their accounts. Sometimes they never add the content to the channel at all even for exclusive and first party content. It’s mind boggling.

team that manages xbox twitter accounts etc. they are excellent in all aspects. they could take care of youtube too. 
the video has age restriction and YT only allows you to watch it on their site. should be it.
