Don’t care tbh, 3-4 hours of campaign is fine for a standalone. There are several games out there that are shorter but still are self contained and don’t have anything lessened by it. Who sets the arbitrary standard of required length for a standalone?

By the way, what I mean is, it should have been able to install separately from gears 5, it was awful to download the whole rest of the game just to play Hivebusters. I know that’s weird lol but the nature of this expansion could have been a standalone install imo that’s all.

I just think there’s a very high chance Embracer will get them, and specifically be put under THQ Nordic.

And yeah, their games are awesome, and although I haven’t completed Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3 in full, I still played a lot of both and loved em to death. Commandos was my childhood so I’m glad someone as talented as Mimimi is keeping that kind of game alive. I didn’t know of their next game being a new IP, interesting. But self-published doesn’t make sense to me? Has that been confirmed somewhere?

I’m personally very excited for the AI summit, both for gaming and non-gaming purposes. I’ve been saying that the ML side of things with Xbox should be pretty exciting to see.

How do you prepare to launch a console and have 1 game from your studios only for that window (Got delayed) and the following year it only looks like the big game is going to be that game that was delayed from a year prior?

Bad preparation but in fairness to Xbox, anyone who was think pre-2022 for any exclusives based on E3 2018 and beyond was setting themselves up for disappointment. I have always believed that 2021 was going to be a weak year before Covid. After Covid, absolutely a weak year.

Microsoft could have timed or full exclusives that they’ve paid for but even then, I see majority of them being AA/Indies which isn’t going to satisfy the majority.

With that said, I see a weak 2021 being a blessing in disguise along with the Halo Infinite delay because if all top tier games get delayed to 2022 and the biggest game of the year is Halo Infinite, it’s an opportunity to get the series and franchise back to where it was in it’s prime.

This is another reason why I don’t see Starfield releasing this year. It takes too much away from Halo Infinite and I don’t see why Microsoft would do that to the face of Xbox. That doesn’t make any sense. Also, I simply believe that Bethesda Game Studios should automatically get an extra six months of quality assurance and polish because all the previous games have been buggy, glitchy and clunky so anyone complaining about Cyberpunk 2077 should probably play some of their games because equally as bad and at times worse.

Give Bethesda Game Studios extra time to get everything right, set and polished because if the first game I play from Bethesda under Microsoft is a buggy, glitchy and clunky mess, that’s not exactly going to fill me with confidence for the future. Simply, they need to get it right instead of potentially rushing it out.

I agree it’s not a good look to only have 1 major console exclusive in a 12 month span. I do feel gamepass def compensates it a bit, but yeah Microsoft def needs stronger output

Xbox effectively rebooted their first party in 2018. In a perfect world Satya would have opened the checkbook in 2015 to better align with the launch of a new console but beggars can’t be choosers. AAA games take time so unfortunately there’s going to be a little bit of drought. The purchase of Bethesda and others will help alleviate it.

Jez Corden has stated several times that there are more unannounced 1st party titles slated for 2021. Nothing really revelatory about it.

Hes also said it’s a potentially dry year. I’m not expecting anything other than MSFS and Halo.

I still fail to see how a list that showcases the planned releases of games we know until now incites any kind of war but lets just drop it there I have no further interest in continuing this silly debacle.
