Yeah but we dont know anything for now so when anything else gets revealed for 2021 Ill gladly update accordingly.
Ive constantly said that the XBOX GAME STUDIOS output has been poor while continuously praising Global Publishing for the work they put in. How is that NEGATIVE??
On a general note, Microsoft owns more studios and teams than any publisher. If they havenât released much up until now, it means theyâll release more when others arenât. Itâs basic math. There will be ebb and flows throughout the gen. We donât need list comparisons to know their 1st party big budget games is light at the moment. The dam has to break eventually and I predict Fall will be pretty strong.
Ive even said that this should be the last year (hopefully) that XGS has âdroughtsâ.
agree, its all very boring.
NoâŚplease donât keep repeating the same thing until things are revealed. We know thereâs a lot in the pipeline and nobody is showing their hands right now. Probably not getting release dates until summer.
Oh I didnt mean repeat the list here
Yes we dontâ know anything for now, so there is no frigging need to worry so damned much.
Back on topic, so another Halo update this week, canât wait!
Also the MS AI and Gaming summit this week, might be some tipbits?
I think ubi takes the cake for most studios haha, i believe they have 40+ worldwide
âXbox owns more studios and teams than any publisherâ
Embracer be like âawwwww thatâs cute, we might own more publishers than you own studios.â
Thank you. This. 1000 times this.
Man some of yall Xboxera staff be flexing on us with your insider knowledge about how we lowly humans still donât know anything about Xboxâs plans this year lol itâs tantalising
Regarding 2021, Obsidian and id Software will both release expansions for The Outer Worlds and DOOM Eternal (probably the next month). The Coalition also released Hiverbusters in December. Same for Rare and Bethesda (Austin) with SoT and FO76.
These are not full new games or standalones so these expansions donât get much press coverage (almost zero) and marketing but these still require a lot of work.
Hivebusters should have been standalone imo (installing it was a goddamn nightmare) and it was awfully marketed for what was essentially a breathtaking next gen looking short but meaty Gears experience. When people were willing to accept miles Morales, Hivebusters should have also been given that leeway.
I dont think Hivebusters had enough content to be its own separate thing when compared to Miles Morales. It got properly marketed as short expansion which is what it is.
Donât care tbh, 3-4 hours of campaign is fine for a standalone. There are several games out there that are shorter but still are self contained and donât have anything lessened by it. Who sets the arbitrary standard of required length for a standalone?
By the way, what I mean is, it should have been able to install separately from gears 5, it was awful to download the whole rest of the game just to play Hivebusters. I know thatâs weird lol but the nature of this expansion could have been a standalone install imo thatâs all.
Hivebusters is just DLC. Its really on Sony if they want to sell expansion packs at full price. It just makes Xbox look better value.
Especially since theyâll likely include continuing expansions into Gamepass Ultimate.
Is it that time again? Iâm ready
Has nothing to do with what I said. I am not saying Hivebusters should have been sold at full price or whatever. I just meant being able to install separately from gears 5. Itâd be available as part of GPU or get it for 20 dollars or whatever it costs.
