I hope it is more like new order…
Agreed. The New Order is still my favorite and best Wolfenstein game out of the four released and I quit Youngblood after a few hours. UGH. Not going to lie though, I am hoping Wolfenstein III wraps up the franchise/series for a while and MachineGames then creates a new IP.
You know you and me have almost the same lineup just I had Starfield and you had Wolfenstein haha and we have to take into acount if MS buys more studios but ya if it ends up what you have as the line up I would be a very happy person haha
Nice. If Halo Infinite wasn’t already confirmed to be a Fall 2021 (most likely November) title then I could have definitely seen Starfield as the November 2021 game but truly, no reason for Microsoft to do that. Besides, imagine at E3 2021 that Starfield is finally revealed with a story cinematic trailer and then a few minutes of gameplay with X021 in October/November showing off more of it in-depth like Todd Howard normally likes to do and boom, they tell you it’s coming out in a few months?
That would be great, get everyone hyped because even though at that time, Halo Infinite is right around the corner, you already have another exclusive game to look forward to plus you also get a few months to catch up with the third party games and whatnot since everyone would be playing a lot of Halo Infinite.
I would plan everything out without taking into account any future studio acquisitions because well, we saw what happened with Halo Infinite and Microsoft putting their eggs into one basket. Always better to plan out everything based on what you know you have as opposed to based on what you could or may have.
Release dates and whatnot can always be adjusted based on if any acquisitions are made.
Overall, 2021/2022 (and beyond) are looking great. Once Halo Infinite releases is where I believe that everything simply “takes off” for Microsoft and Xbox.
One more reason being literal cannibalism of Halo over anything Xbox shall be releasing during that time including Starfield, hence I don’t think Starfield will release at the same time. It might have even gotten delayed internally when they got to know halos release date to make space for it.
Halo is ftp and I dont think this will be an issue
Once these puppies start getting out of the oven Sony is gonna have a really hard time matching Output amount.
Agreed. No reason to overshadow Halo Infinite because if that happens, my response would be, uh oh, what’s wrong with Halo Infinite now that you need to put another major game alongside it?
It’s not about game cost at that point I’m referring to just how many people will have to dive in halo and stay there for a while, and can’t do that to Starfield when it’s possible the same audience is waiting for it too. Can’t split attention like that, I meant.
just split them 1 month
I mean MS had Dead Rising 4 FH3 Recore and Gears 4 all with 4 months plus I dont think Halo would cannibalism Starfield
Maybe, but I still personally have found zero reasons to believe the game is coming in 2021 anyway.
Bethesda is known for surprise reveals
I’m less sold on Horizon coming next year now though. Not after the updates this week to 4.
I mean, going by their history, i expect them to reveal Starfield gameplay in the coming months somewhere, then it’d retain their prophecy of announcing games very close to their release.
If anything, im more sold on FH 5 in September 2021 because Motorsport is 2022 at the earliest and no way in hell is FH 5 taking 5 years to develop and release. Just no way. I believe we see the game like always at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2021 and it releases three months later.
Wait, is this Ark II that’s gonna be GP day 1?
In fairness, Dead Rising 4 sucked, killed the franchise and studio plus it simply wasn’t any good and released in December which unless you’re a Cyberpunk, is basically a death sentence for your AAA game. Recore was September 13th 2016 and was just a decent at best platformer. Neither of these two games were developed by internally owned studios.
If Halo Infinite doesn’t get it’s own massive space around it, that tells me it would need another year because in my eyes, putting another big game near it tells me that there’s some issues and the game is being pushed out.
Also, let’s remember 2015. Halo 5 released in October and Microsoft released Rise of the Tomb Raider on the same day as Fallout 4 which was a stupid ass decision.
Point being, Halo Infinite as big as it may end up being will NOT have more hype or interest than Starfield which is Bethesda’s first new IP in over two decades so do you really want Starfield close to Halo Infinite? Come on.
I liked what I played of Recore but seeing a definitive edition 11 months later and still had some issues didn’t exactly do the game any favors. Solid at best. Great potential. Horrible execution and don’t get me started on grinding for cores or whatever the hell it was called. UGH.
