Maybe, maybe not.
Depends what happens tomorrow.
People watch WandaVision, or a celebrity says the “N-Word” or some shit like that and it’s gone.

It has to be now, no excuses. It should have been the case prior to the price increase, but Microsoft cannot with a straight face market Halo Infinite’s multiplayer as ftp and then ask you to pay $10 at a minimum to play it.
I bet a PS now price increase comes soon.
Bit shocked to see how they have handled this? Most people are going to think that the removal of the 12 month option is a sleazy way for them to charge more money.
Need to read the article as im not understanding the GPU ultimate stuff yet.
Edit: So are GPU and Gold the same price now?
gamepass standard (the worst gamepass service actually lol) and live gold are at 10 dollars a month and 120 for 12, GPU is 15 a month and 180 for 12
Phil browsing Twitter today:

Saw this image for direct comparisons sake:
I just don’t get why they have removed the 12 month option…? What’s the point in that? What does that achieve other than needlessly hiking price?
Following the price differential trend in the picture above the 12 month option should be 79.99 for the year which is much more reasonable.
im pretty sure they removed the 1 year option to make it harder for people to stack the subscription up for cheap and convert it to GPU
One last thing before I go off for a while:
Timing of this sure is strange. Second to last Friday in January 2021.
I mean it could be easier to swallow towards the end of the year with big games like Halo and maybe Starfield out, but now, it’s all eyes on it.
Guess they’re hoping by the time the big games start coming people will forget or something.
Sure is strange timing though.
Maybe they wanted to make the move before their earnings call.
Might also be good to announce something like this when there aren’t a bunch of consoles on shelves and let it blow over by the time stock is better.
it doesn’t matter for casual gamer, nobody know when a game have better SSR/Shadow or less framerate drop
I guess we’ll see by watching Xbox’s sales in 2021 but I really don’t think gold price is going to decrease Xbox’s sales

Ta!
Definitely agree, I think this spells some news coming soon.
y’all need to relax and just play games lol.
I know a lot of kids in the 8-12 year old range who use One S as their primary console and just play a few games. They don’t have yearly subscriptions to gold they just get gold during certain months or for periods of time. Since they are not on an existing yearly renew plan as soon as parents go to re-up it will be double. I think this could hurt that market. Now I would recommend that kids should have gamepass anyways and GPU is a no brainer for that age bracket but not every parent wants to do that. I think this will piss off a lot people in this category. Overall, I think just based on optics from the media and press this was a bad move. It would have looked better to get rid of games with gold or something and make that part of GPU instead so you might be doing the same thing but optically you are not price gouging everyone. Microsoft needs to look like the most consumer friendly option to raise market share not look like the greedy megacorp.
At least today wasn’t boring!

Oh do shut up.
Hyperbole much?
Reminder:
It’s January.
JANUARY.

Let’s chill with the doom and gloom… again…

I just find it funny cause if he get GP PC or buy and Xbox games he still giving MS money haha
i mean if you could get XSX at this time sure
