Xbox Game Studios |OT3| Once more....with feeling (Part 1)

Unless you did the merging “trick”, Gold will set you back a lot more then. But you pay the full price monthly for GPU?

something wholesome for a change lol, would be nice if she returned to Tango after the deal goes through.

Agree. Bad move, but not the end of the world.

There’s a certain point where you’re hurting yourself if you’re not on GPU. And that point was ages ago, this just solidifies it.

True. Except for when I want to merge Gold and GP, then Gold will set me back a lot more. If I pay the usual amount to MS nothing changes though.

nice

Ehh you do underestimate the casuals. 120/year is A HARD sell for free to play games. I would suggest any child to go with PS5 now honestly. This is bull and I HOPE this will get the much deversed blow back on social media. THIS IS NOT OKAY.

idk why so many “hardcore gamers” think casuals are just some dumb people who don’t equally care about important things.

I don’t underestimate casuals, I just question if they would be outraged. As if they already have gold for 6 or 12 months they are being grandfathered in at the prior rate so nothing changes. If they never had an xbox or xbox services prior and are coming into the ecosystem fresh they are more likely to opt for gamepass anyway as it’s a cheaper way to experience a bunch of games they would have never played.

However, even if they don’t opt for gamepass and are a new subscriber they can’t really be mad because that’s the only fee they were ever presented with. So it’s just the way it is for better or worse.

it would be really funny if it was because of that. :joy:

not outraged but those people currently on xbox one or those who yet want to buy a console for free to play games would certainly shoose a PS5 over a s/x
and its easier then ever with crossprogession

My friends who only play COD will not like this change, I can tell you that

it’s part of their DNA, MS always do this kind of thing.

now let’s see if this move work and make people pay for GPU or it will drive people from playing online on xbox.

LOL

So the change is to incentivize new Xbox members to join GPU once entering the ecosystem. Existing Live-only gamers won’t have to pay an increased rate.

F2P games shouldn’t have a paywall.

I only buy virtually and appreciate Deals with Gold.

I have Game Pass Ultimate (and have had Live since the 360) so this change doesn’t affect me. Still, I understand why people who aren’t already subscribed to GPU are upset.

That being said, subscription service prices increase all the time (yes, Live included). Not sure why Microsoft would increase Live’s price in today’s reality, though.

yes this is true but not by %100 increase like today with gold.

GP Price will also increase in next 3-5 years

100% is steep, you’re right.

Most definitely GP will increase.

First world problems, hahaha.

Playing Kingdoms of Amalur re-reckoning and they give tips during the loading screen, but the SSD is so fast I barely get the time to read it.

Gift and a curse? Nah, that’s too much, but devs from now on will have to put a section in the options with tips and stuff, lol. Because load times
what load times?
