I only play on console so I never got access to mods.
And New Vegas’s still a game with a lot of cut content that mods can’t totally replace.
I honestly think this is one of the few games in Xbox’s portfolio that deserves a next-gen remake (alongside Lost Odyssey but that’s another story) as the game clearly was rushed to release in time and didn’t reach its full potential.
Combined with the lack of free resources for a brand new Fallout game by Obsidian in the near future.
There is so many other IPs MS should do other than Crackdown at this time like Conker Lost Odyssey Recore Banjo Kazooie Kameo hell even games I dont like like Viva Pinata
Crackdown doesn’t do much for me on paper, but I doubt Xbox would do it after the last one unless Sumo had a hell of a pitch for it, so I’m open to it.
Sony handles publishing, QA and localization for the Nioh series. Luckily Team Ninja is done with the franchise so hopefully their next game can be on Xbox.
I don’t really care if they do Crackdown 4 or not. Either way, it’s not like they’re having one of their internal studios doing it. So, it doesn’t really matter to me. If it’s good, I’ll play it. If they don’t do it, not a big loss either. If it’s bad, well, they should try to avoid that. I feel like a potential Crackdown 4 could be much better than 3 if it doesn’t go through development hell. Perhaps they could redeem themselves. But again, doesn’t really matter much to me what they do with Crackdown. I say there’s no harm in a 4.
Crackdown 3 became one of my guilty pleasures. I tried it out because of game pass when it first released. I soon found I was having a complete blast playing through the campaign. I welcome a follow up game in the series.
If that game from Sumo Digital based on an established AAA open-world action franchise is the AAA Xbox Publishing game, then it could certainly be Crackdown but personally I would love it to be Crimson Skies (though it’s very unlikely).
Crimson Skies 3 sounded cool
A third chapter in the series was in development by Fasa Studio around 2003 / 2004 and planned to be released for Xbox 360 . Probably Microsoft wanted to offer one of their “hardcore” IPs for their new console, but in the end the project was never completed . There are currently no screenshot, videos or images preserved
Crimson Skies 3 would have expanded its gameplay by offering on-foot missions and we can speculate that FASA tried to create a much more ambitious project, making it a full open world flying game . High Road to Revenge already had many levels structured similarly to the open-world missions of GTA, where you could fly around and choose different missions located throughout the game map. We can assume in Crimson Skies 3 we could have explored cities with our character and then freely flying around the world using our planes to resolve missions and fight against enemy aircrafts
Fallout New Vegas 2 will release between 2025 and 2030 (not dev by Obsidian)
Starfield is still 1 or 2 years away
The Elder Scroll 6 is a 2026-27 game
This rumour come from a reliable insider about Valve’s stuff (the guy who leak HL Alyx and Back 4 Blood) but who know if he is reliable about Bethesda’s stuff…
Imo, this could be true, I was in the “Starfield 2021 team” and now I think I was wrong for some reason :
If Bethesda sell to Microsoft, it’s because they don’t have money to fund their project. When Starfield come, the game is going to add billion dollars revenue to Bethesda, so why they would sell one year before having a ton of cash ?
If Bethesda create Fallout 76, it’s for the same reason they create TESO, because there is no Fallout in the nearly future, so I would not be shocked if Fallout don’t come back before a decade.
Bryan Fargo said one of Inxile’s project is in the pre infacy of pre production and insider sponger said this game have relation with one event which happen this year (maybe Bethesda acquisition?). So it could be Inxile who are going to work on Fallout NV2 and release it by 2028 maybe
Well, I for one am glad it doesn’t seem to be a studio at XGS, so it’s all good. I really wouldn’t want any of the brand new studios to work on that game though. I definitely agree with most of ya’ll here, let that thing rest already.
It would be weird for inXile to make Fallout New Vegas 2 considering the actual CREATORS OF FALLOUT AT OBSIDIAN. Like Obsidian hired them to make TOW, and I’m sure they and the staff still at Obsidian that make NV would love to work on it.
How much of the original Black Isle team is still left at inXile? The ones that worked on the Fallout 1-2?
Conflicting thoughts here for me. I want it to be true badly for New Vegas 2, but maybe still two years left for Starfield is downright depressing, let alone TES VI.
