Xbox Game Studios |OT3| Once more....with feeling (Part 1)

I completed it. It plays worse than crackdown 2 and that felt dated. I hate the whole auto aim thing and the climbing felt absolutely dreadful. The only thing that felt good was jumping imo

No, they left and Dambuster took over.

Meh I disagree

I’m actually wrong! They were on Dead Island 2 but Dambusters took over. So…yeah probably not that.

That would be nice. I hope they improve on the driving this time.

Next month should be the right date for the Bethesda’s acquisition, right?

I would love a Crackdown 4. We need more fun games.

If they are to do another Crackdown then the game needs to be a technological powerhouse (Including mechanics originally promised in Crackdown 3) otherwise there is not much point.

That was the weirdest part. They make great racing games. They ported FH2. Why was the driving so lacklustre in Crackdown 3?

Hopefully. MS closed Github in 5 months and that cost the same and arguably had more regulatory hurdles.

I could of swore I heard Phil say Febuary somewhere

Between a hypothetical Gears 7 and Crackdown 4 I want neither.

I remember he said he felt good and it was progressing well. I think it’ll close in February/March.

Actually, I believe Bethesda Austin would be interested in developing a single-player Fallout.

Last month:

The elephant in the room, of course, is that Bethesda has recently been acquired by Microsoft. There’s a possibility that a new corporate overlord could change plans for how to update or monetize Fallout 76. It’s too early to talk about, Gardiner says.

How about that popular question about the possibility for a Fallout: New Vegas 2, now that Obsidian and Bethesda are together under the Microsoft umbrella. With what sound like years of plans for content coming to Fallout 76, could Gardiner’s team become the multiplayer Fallout studio while another takes the singleplayer reins?

ā€œThe folks at Obsidian, some of them I actually worked with years ago,ā€ Gardiner says. ā€œI love what they did with New Vegas. I don’t know what the future holds. Personally, I definitely still love single player games. So I would be remiss to say I wouldn’t want to do that myself. But you know, who knows?ā€

But he also said in that article that they are planning to create Fallout 4-style off map expansions for Fallout 76. I don’t know if they can both support Fallout 76 (with expansions like Fallout 4’s Far Harbor) and developp a single-player Fallout (remake or new game).

Another option in my opinion could be outsourcing a Fallout 3 or New Vegas remake to a 3rd-party partner, but could Bethesda give them access to the overhauled Creation engine that they’re using for Starfield and TES6 ? (I don’t know how these things work in practice)

Personally, I would love a Fallout: Return to New Vegas remake with Fallout 4-like graphics (or even better, using the same engine as Starfield and TES6), quality of life improvements from FO4/76 (like sprint and gunplay) and with some cut content, especially the Legion content. That would be less work than a full new Fallout game while still having a strong impact as New Vegas is a fantastic game at its core but suffering from cut content (like Primm being a ghost town), poor graphics and bugs/performance.

we will never get a Fallout 3 or New Vegas remake, those games have mod support. the entire point of their engine is so that the community can mod their games.

Morrowind is getting neither a remaster nor a remake, Todd Howard says | gamepressure.com

Personally…I think we are going to get an Obsidian Fallout game, but its far…far…far… along from happening. if it does happen its going to get announced maybe… just like announced…9 years from now. We have a long time until Fallout returns, I’m a MASSIVE Fallout New Vegas fan. It’s my favorite video game of all time and yet…I’m content with the franchise being on hold for awhile. Fallout 76 is a decent holdover and imo I know this will be controversial…I think its better than fallout 4. I feel content for now with regular Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 GOTY edition on GOG. Bethesda games are great long after they’ve released, to me these games still feel relevant because of the mods. Fallout 76 has a fun MMO style world with new mainline quests releasing every once in awhile. I feel content with playing the game for a long time. As a Fallout fan I still feel like I’m getting my Fallout on. It’s time for Starfield and Elder Scrolls to shine, same goes for Avowed. The Outer Worlds 2 needs its time to shine as well.

I think part of the value Microsoft saw in acquiring Bethesda is the community, the mods, the fans, the long standing history of mods. I believe we’ll see a future where Mods get highlighted on Xbox wire, maybe even some banner ads for huge mod expansions for Starfield and ES6. There is also a future with Paid Mods regardless of what YouTubers say. (as an example, Fallout Miami could be on the homepage of the Creation Club).

Lets not crank out too many Fallout games… we have an exciting future ahead with BGS, Obisidan and InXile western RPGs.

A new Crackdown would be amazing, I love the franchise. The only thing I ask is that they drop the cloud-based destruction. It annoyed me when 3 was essentially only brought back because of it and royally pissed me off with the way it eventually turned out. All that wait and investment for that.

3 played pretty great in SP, so build off that with a 4-player campaign co-op, and for MP, a BR mode would be cool. Oh, and bring back the individual Agency vehicles that would transform as your driving skill improved
