Guys, it’s accelerating. Tencent shall be one of the biggest publishers in gaming in the coming decade and they’re making huge strides to enter the global market, and snatching away talent from big established studios. Soon, we shall have to contend the fact that these Chinese games are not just some mobile gacha but something that can also be AAA and can penetrate gaming discourse and discussions around GOTY and all that, the industry shall have to start accommodating for this new paradigm and it’s interesting to see what happens.
You have a time stamp for when he starts talking about this?
This was my only thought for how this would make sense, but I still don’t get why they wouldn’t announce it in 2020 for release in 2021?
That would still have the same effect to seek new consoles alongside these games and would get the benefit of getting people invested at launch, just like what Sony did with Ratchet and Horizon.
Any idea when Grounded 1.0 drops?
They could be Bethesda games as well, which would explain why they weren’t announced. Wolfenstein 3 and Starfield for example
Its not starfield or wolfenstien, Jez and Rand said that they think wolfenstien will be revealed this year and released next year, and that they both know nothing about when starfield will be coming out, but that it would make sense for it to release this year.
Thing is what happens if the DLC is out in June like the last one, Horizon 5 could easily come out in September. They need constant content remember for Game Pass they’re not going to skip dropping a game because DLC came out for the older game a couple months earlier. Apparently the game will be crossgen too so I highly doubt it’s using the new engine and is held back by that. They won’t hold back a game because DLC or because Motorsport was announced first, that’s just dumb.
Are people going to moan that their a monopoly or does that only apply to big bad corp MS
I think it’s Banjo. He said he couldn’t give a hint because it would be to obvious what it is.
Nah, I think they would have made the Hot Wheels DLC for the new Horizon if it were close to ready to go.
XGS Publishing had a very important participation in 2020: Microsoft Flight Simulator, Gears Tactics and Ori 2.
In 2021, it looks like this will repeat. Age of Empires IV…
The Gunk is technically not Global Publishing. And I only know this because I asked the devs on Twitter (I wanted to know if it was gonna be a true exclusive or not).
I thought it was.
As Dusk Falls. Yes, but i dont see it in 2021.
If it was built for FH4 it wouldn’t make sense to then port it to FH5 because they want to avoid releasing it soon before the release. We’re just going to have to wait and see but I really doubt they’re going to hold back a release of a brand new game because DLC came out a couple months before launch, for all we know the DLC was delayed. I also doubt the team making the DLC is big at all compared to the ones making the FH5 game as the entire team doesn’t work on DLC.
My theoryis the small DLC team might’ve been impacted a lot by COVID and had to push the DLC to this year.
Speaking of Global Punishing…
I don’t know…his last game Devils Third was universally panned by critics.
Xbox said this spring they launch on over a billion devices.
“That’s why I trusted him and actually created Xbox-exclusive games for about ten years. 20 years have passed since then, and I established my own company, Itagaki Games, which is not Tecmo, nor Valhalla. I know Microsoft is still aggressive. If they reach out to me, it will be an honor for me.”
