I am pleasantly surprised by the We happy Few DLC so far.

Just finished the first one and I really enjoyed it a lot. I was expecting more roaming through the “open world” and I am so glad I was completely wrong with that expectation. It was more linear and this is exactly what I like in this game.

Some really neat things with that weapon too and the voice acting was top notch, really nice! Only played a few seconds of the second DLC and I already see some really cool and especially original ideas, the guitar for example.

I can absolutely see why Phil Spencer said people shouldn’t sleep on Compulsion!

I’d actually like to see Microsoft fund more smaller “indie like” experiences. Some of the best stuff from Xbox was in the 360 summer of arcade days. It’s easy to forget but Microsoft was the first to bring Minecraft to consoles. Kind of weird to remember that it used to be an indie game.

Absolutely. I really am saddened that they published Mark of the Ninja, Castle Crashers, Shadow Complex, etc.

And these days? Just Ori. They need to do many more of those kinds of things.

I wish they still had a Twisted Pixel-like studio. I’d love for them to pick up Klei, Supergiant, Thunderful, or someone like that. Especially when we saw Hades leave the AAA games of last year way in the dust.

Starfield and Forza Horizon 5.

Forza for September, Starfield for november OR october to fill the gap between Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.

Flight Simulator will be in august and Grounded 1.0 in July, rest of the year will be about Psychonauts 2 and third party temporary exclusives.

If Horizon 4 is getting a Hot Wheels DLC, then it’ll be Wolfenstein, not Horizon 5.

Yeah the ditching of the open world, survival elements does wonders for the game and allows it to be focused.

I have mentioned it previously but We Happy Few was a victim of the studio needing to find a way to quickly earn money, so they initially went for the open world, survival genre because that was hot then, but after the injection of funding by Gearbox they then crafted onto it more of a traditional single player mode and it just didn’t gel.

It is why I am too looking forward to their next game because now they don’t have to worry about bringing in money.

I’m keeping expectations low, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t announce this at the end of 2020 or in the Showcase when they were trying to sell people on the console. Some people bought PS5’s for launch because not much had been announced for 2021.

There’s no way it’s anything big, I really refuse to believe it. With Halo coming at the end of the year, I can assume there’s 1 also planned for Q4 but that leaves another for Q3 or Q2.

I imagine deals for some smaller games, and if it’s anything big, I’ll be happily surprised. On top of that, I reckon they are timed exclusives like The Medium.

I mean, Forza Horizon 4 is a phenomenon. Must have more or around 20 million users. Interrupt this game wouldnt be very smart.

and already has Forza Motorsport announced. think this comes first.

Halo wasn’t suppose to launch 2021, there would’ve been games planned for 2021. August > November is free for releases. 3 month gap before Halo so they could easily release 1 or 2 games in there.
