I’d actually like to see Microsoft fund more smaller “indie like” experiences. Some of the best stuff from Xbox was in the 360 summer of arcade days. It’s easy to forget but Microsoft was the first to bring Minecraft to consoles. Kind of weird to remember that it used to be an indie game.

100% agree , and most of my mileage from gamepass is from indies and AA games tbh. I think key is Microsoft continuing to have indie games launch on platform and having a healthy mixture of indies, AA, and AAA.
I think Microsoft is already heading that route with gamepass, but must stay the course. Also I think Xbox Global Partnership is going to play a huge role

Starfield and Forza Horizon 5.
Forza for September, Starfield for november OR october to fill the gap between Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.
Flight Simulator will be in august and Grounded 1.0 in July, rest of the year will be about Psychonauts 2 and third party temporary exclusives.

I am pleasantly surprised by the We happy Few DLC so far.
Just finished the first one and I really enjoyed it a lot. I was expecting more roaming through the “open world” and I am so glad I was completely wrong with that expectation. It was more linear and this is exactly what I like in this game.
Some really neat things with that weapon too and the voice acting was top notch, really nice! Only played a few seconds of the second DLC and I already see some really cool and especially original ideas, the guitar for example.
I can absolutely see why Phil Spencer said people shouldn’t sleep on Compulsion!

That could be Wolfenstein 3 and FH5. I think it is key that he said at least 2 so there is stuff to be determined.

I seriously doubt that FH5 will come out this year, as Playgrounds Forza team has currently around 40 job openings.

FH5 if it’s coming this year, will be built on Forza Horizon 4 tech, so the 40 job openings can be a way for Playground Games to be ready working hard on the next Forza Horizon with a brand new tech this time.
There is space for a new Forza Horizon right now, I really think we will see a new Forza game before next gen Motorsport.

I was always a doubter but I am beginning to turn around on FH5. I think Rand’s list of predictions was influenced by stuff he knows or has heard from contacts. The FH4 DLC has already been backed up by the folks at XboxEra.
Jeff Grubb said it, but also hit us with “it was just a guess” buuut… he knows where the game takes place. That tells me he has info about the game and his expected release date is more than just a guess.
We shall see.
I don’t expect Horizon 5 until 2023. This year is the hot wheels expansion which I think will be turned into a full game. Next year Turn 10 Forza
