I don’t know…Wolfenstein had Nazi’s, swashbuckling adventure, great set-pieces, secret tombs full of powerful relics…sounds very Indy-like to me!
It’s very noticeable that so far only offical Xbox people like Major Nelson and Phil Spencer have been talking about this on twitter and congratulating Bethedsa.
If we were to read between the lines.
Good point! The only thing that is truly new to them is third person camera views, but that’s it. But my memory is probably failing me now, did the two games have tombs? I didn’t play the last one.
I think its first person, but plays like Riddick escape from butcher bay
I mean, the way I see it is - Bethesda games NOT being exclusive is a slight to all other studios Xbox owns.
Don’t mind me.
Just thinking about that limited edition Indiana Jones Xbox Series X we’re going to get that makes a whip-cracking noise when you press the power button.
Indiana Jones limited edition Xbox Series X.
I think it was just The New Order, which had that underwater tomb. Not too sure about the ones after that.
Yeah, I’m going to need Xbox Pope to come up with three Indiana Jones themed consoles by days end and put them on my desk.
Sure, but I am speaking financially here.
Zenimax will be operating semi-independently so for instance if they brokered this deal on their own meaning they structured it where the funding comes for their own pockets and the costs are such that it would require a multiplat to be profitable, it may end up that way. However if MS was involved and has a stake in the deal, then that points to being exclusive.
You’d also have to factor in licensing fees and such were they would still have to give Sony a cut but not MS, dev kit costs, retail space, etc… so It could swing either way.
I personally hope not. I really want to see Indy himself. And besides XGS has plenty of first person (RPG) games in the making as it is.
It’s not official yet though, it’s all rumors and hearsay and it’s only about this game. No way Bethesda games overall will stay multiplatform. Phil recently said Bethesda games are crucial to Xbox and/or GP. Something along those lines.
Yeah, at that point, it is a bit vague. The only thing I’m sure of is that it is going to be a Day One Game Pass deal.
I can’t be the only one who doesn’t care if the Indy game is exclusive or not, and is just super excited that 1) we’re getting a new Indiana Jones game and adventure, and 2) Machine Games is making it and they happen to make some pretty good games!
It has been so long since the last one.
So should we all get back in the circle to manifest KOTOR/KOTHR now or what?
I’ve been arguing about Indiana Jones all day. That’s something I haven’t done since Crystal Skull.
BTW, Crystal Skull is an okay film.
I’m going to summon my wololo gif again :
Who knows what is going to happen next
