They haven’t brought back Splinter Cell because they are not able to make it an open world shooter with lite rpg and loot elements. 
They put Sam Fisher in every fucking thing except his own game. And now it’s getting the half life treatment haha let’s see where it goes.

Was playing AC Valhalla and then I noticed a newly bought game (Vanishing of Ethan Carter) was done. And I relied on quick resume, only to find out ACV hasn’t gotten its QR functionality back just yet. Shit, lol.
So uh… word of advice…
Do NOT, do NOT, try to install parts of Black Ops Cold War while downloading the update… You get stuck in a loop and have to uninstall then reinstall the whole thing… All 189 Gigs of it.
Yes, I agree. This is just an experiment from a youtube video. One thing Im very curious about is to see what they have done with the lighting of this game. Raytracing is very heavy technology, I hope they are using all the features of Series X|S, PC: VRS, XVA, DX12U and more. If they get X:1440p60, S:900p60fps with global illumination and reflections with RT, it will be a victory.

Please save Tomb Raider. The new trilogy from a narrative and character perspective have been so bad. Lara is dislikable and Trinity generic. Reboot the reboot!
Huh. I haven’t played them myself, but my understanding was that people thought this was the best Tomb Raider had ever been.

I really enjoyed the current Tomb Raider trilogy. Of course, I never played through those old original PlayStation games so I have no attachment whatsoever. Rise was my 2016 goty for PS4. Shadow was my 4th best game of 2018. TR 2013 was also great. I for one enjoyed them all and would prefer Crystal Dynamics to give me an action packed set piece puzzle adventure Tomb Raider game.

The new games weren’t bad, i rather enjoyed them even. But Tomb Raider Anniversary or Underworld are just better Tomb Raider games.

I never played the older games. I just thought Shadow of the Tomb Raider was boring and did a poor job characterizing Lara. Rise was my favorite of the three, but the narratives have largely been weak throughout. Shadow also didn’t evolve the formula as much as I would have liked. I think the series needs a new direction, preferably without the supernatural qualities the same way Uncharted 4 grounded itself.

I’ve played all of them and enjoyed them all. Somehow, shadow of the tomb raider is the weakest entry but it’s still quite enjoyable. I just like 3rd person action adventure games, so tomb raider, uncharted, sw jedi fallen order are very enjoyable to me.

I liked 2013 and loved Rise but could not get into Shadow. They made Lara insufferably arrogant in it and I didn’t like the direction change.

It’s better they leave it dead. I’d rather Splinter Cell stay in it’s grave then be dug up, reanimated and shamefully displayed like Ghost Recon was.
