I think (and hope) they hold Gears for 2026. We really don’t need it later this year with all of the stuff coming lol.

Get the Collection out first or whatever Gears related they plan on putting elsewhere.

They probably didn’t want to (I assume) commit to a release date of fall 2025 when the GTA6 release window is still somewhere around there.

2026 is equally crowded (as @peter42O already showed above) as this year so we are gonna be flooded with games either way, backlogs are gonna be stressed! :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn, I did forget about them. Really interested in Clockwork Revolution as it looks awesome and still waiting to see gameplay for Contraband and Everwild.

It’s probably an irrational concern, but part of me is worried they might be in for a lull after this big wave of 2025, 2026, and 2027 games come to ane end. 2028 is around the time you’d expect games from the studios that dropped in 2023 (assuming 5 year dev cycle), which would be Tango (nope), Arkane Austin (nope), BGS, Turn 10. You could add in 2022, but yeah…

Though there are studios working multiple projects, XGSP stuff, and ABK stuff we don’t have any idea about. Like I said, probably irrational lol.

I don’t think it’s irrational at all, we’re so used to seeing that kind of gap (from every platform holder at one time or another). I think things might be different this time because of the sheer amount of studios, and in some cases those studios are composed of multiple teams working on multiple projects, and because Global Publishing is starting to fire on all cylinders - not just Ninja Gaiden, but Ara just a few months prior. That’s my hope anyway

Speaking about what’s coming for Xbox there’s also likely some Starfield DLC getting close to launch.

With new mods like the Mech that was teased in one of Bethesda videos, unless that’s part of the DLC since we know that vehicles didn’t come until Bethesda created the ground work for them.

Looks like “Project Maverick” from People Can Fly is them co-developing Gears of War E-Day with The Coalition.

We don’t need any other game for fall of GTA6 is coming out in the fall.

Windows Central article says it’s a different project than E-Day.

Ah that’s interesting, if it is indeed something else I’m curious to see what it would be.

Could be anything really, but maybe a new Gears of War spinoff? Since it’s not a main title it could go in a different direction to mainline Gears of War games.

It must have stuck in Chris Dring’s throat to write that.
