Here’s hoping the same for NG.

Shareholders of Sony or any other company will see these reports and ask

What the Fcuk are we doing here ???

Why our strategy brings us low profits and weak growth while competitors’ market share increases?

Why are exclusive game revenues weak and many projects fail?

Sony is a capital company like any other that wants to grow. The change of the CEO position of PlayStation more than once during the past years is evidence of a problem in their strategy

It appears Avowed is confirmed to run at 60 FPS on Series X. If true, well done, Obsidian.

It is? Nice surprise! Obsidian said it?

Supposedly, Series S only has up to 40.

Seems like someone posted it on reddit I think.

Avowed has 30/40/60 FPS options on Xbox Series X while Xbox Series S has 30/40 FPS options. I’m personally very happy that they nailed 60FPS on Series X. I am surprised that Obsidian hasn’t announced/confirmed this yet unless they’re testing it via reviewers.

Now that is what I call some damn good news! These are examples of how delays can be a good thing, which seems to be the case for AC Shadows too.

Agreed. I’m always in favor of delaying games.

Thankfully this is pretty much confirmed so people will hopefully talk more about the actual game and less bitching about “where are muh framez?”…game looks freakin’ awesome and I can’t wait to read impressions and of course the review from Jesse!

Yeah absolutely.

I mean 30fps wasn’t a deal breaker for me, I would of course play it. Hell, I’ve been playing nothing but Zelda games in sub 30fps for more than two months now, so yeah. But…if the option is there? Let’s go!

Im still probably going to play it at 30 for better visuals.

I hope the visual cutbacks aren’t very noticeable. If it’s a lower resolution like 1440p vs like native and no other real differences I probably will be OK with that, with the distance is sit from my TV. But we shall see.

It’s not for me either. My other hobby is music, and the music scene has what they call themselves audiophiles. They are supposed to have “golden ears”. They would not use bluetooth headphones because it’s lossy and will only use expensive hi-fi equipment. They are really niche and generally laughed at by people really into music because those audiophiles care more about the tech then the music. In gaming it seems the “audiophiles” are the dominate ones…

40 is the sweet spot on a VRR display.

Unless its a Sony Display, their lower limit is 48 Hz for VRR. However, they will run 120 Hz vsync enabled, so it will display the same frame for 3 cycles (40 fps vsync enabled).
