Xbox Game Studios |OT12| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

The final seasonal playlist for FH5. Although Playground has said they still have some more content left, this is a pretty big sign that FH6 is going to be revealed this June.

Yep. I’m super curious about the remake of Oblivion, if they do it right…man it could be amazing. Really wonder if that could actually be a shadow drop for the June show. What a year for RPGs.

Me and my brother are super fans of Oblivion.

To be honnest, I always prefered Oblivion to Skyrim because of the medieval/roman atmosphere and big capital city. It was really impressive at the time : NPC had randomised conversations, the trees with dense folliage, the draw distance, the physics of objects, the arrows that got stuck and that you could pick up, the horses…

This remake, if it’s done right… I’m anxious but also really excited.

I never got along with the levelling system, but the exploring and atmosphere was great. I only played it on PC ( :face_vomiting:) but have had the console version in the backlog for a long time. Guess the remake will come along before I played that haha.

Phil lost weight ?? I hope he feels great, because he looks great.

It’s always cool to hear him talk about the past, his vision and stuff he wants to do for Xbox. It may be one of the only corporate I can take seriously and appreciate. He surely feels confident right now.

With the rumor that E-Day is targeting 2025 and assuming Fable stays in 2025, who would you guys give the Direct after the showcase spot to in June? Maybe a chance we could see a Double Direct?

Fable by a large margin.

I really thought that 2024 couldn’t be topped… I guess I was wrong.

I could see them dropping the post show direct dedicated to one game and just doing another normal direct now that they have so many games.

I’m expecting Fable to get the Direct after the showcase. It’s an action RPG that will have much more to dive into than Gears of War: E-Day. Besides, Fable has been dormant for 15 years or something like that go all in with it.

I just don’t believe E-Day is gonna release this year. Who came with that rumor?

Gears 5 came out at 2019 so why is that so unbelievable that E-Day may come out this year? if anything not releasing the game this year will be the weird thing because then we would be talking about a ~7 year old development cycle from a studio that is known for their efficiency. The only reason IMO that the game may be delayed a few months will be GTA6 releasing this fall and MS not wanting to put Gears anywhere near it.

Also IIRC Tom Warren was the first who talked about a possible 2025 release for Gears E-Day.

After Parris pointed out that next year is the 20-year anniversary for Gears I am perfectly fine with the idea of E-Day coming next year.

Or maybe it’s E-Day on Xbox and PC this year, with multi-plat collection and E-Day next year.

Excited for more Gears. It’s been so long!

Actual releases and/or what im hoping for -

2025 first half -

  • Avowed (February)
  • South of Midnight (April)
  • Doom: The Dark Ages (May)
  • Towerborne (TBA/console)

Second half (what im hoping) -

  • Ara: History Untold (September/console)
  • Ninja Gaiden 4 (September)
  • Call of Duty 2025 (October)
  • Fable (November)

2026 -

  • The Outer Worlds 2 (February)
  • State of Decay 3 (May/June)
  • Gears of War: E-Day (September)
  • Call of Duty 2026 (October)
  • Perfect Dark (November)

Excludes third party games in general, remakes/remasters, collections and of course, any unannounced surprises like we just had with NG2B and NG 4. I know some will say why are one or two games getting pushed to 2026 or what happened to December/January? Remember, this is what im hoping for. I’m not a fan of December releases at all. Reason being from late August through November, there’s always a ton of games that I want to play in that span of 3+ months and like most, I can’t play everything at once so that’s where December and January come into play.

I also always take a 2-3 week vacation right after New Year’s and I like to use these 6-8 weeks (December/January) to basically catch up. If a game releases in December/January, so be it, it will still be played but I try my best to minimize my backlog because if I don’t, I know there’s games that I will most likely never play.

If the above actually happens, excluding Ara since it’s not for me, im getting 12 games in 24 months which is basically a game every other month which is already better than I would think most would expect to get so no reason for me to complain. Best of all, I have the time to get through all the games that I actually want to play. :joy:

Side note, I know you said Ara isn’t for you, but for everyone else I highly recommend it when it’s out. Bought it on PC after getting sucked into a six hour game - it’s clearly doing a lot right given that Civ 7 is directly lifting many of its new elements straight from Ara.

You make a good point. The reason I never saw 2025 for E-Day is because it just felt like this was still quite far away, plus did the trailer mention a year at all? I’m not sure it did, because I based my expectation on that too then.

don’t forget about Everwild, Clockwork Revolution, and Contraband
