There has never been a full Reboot and if there was if the video was more current it would have been removed from Rare’s main channel
It’s been a long time since the first announcement, but did they ever say it was both SP and co-op? I definitely recall some sources saying co-op. As for it being present in the show, I’m going with nah. Just have that feeling it won’t.

I mean a Reboot means you erase everything and start from 0.
The first trailer for Everwild shows creatures (which the community has called Bloom Deer) they are also displayed as decoration in the Studio and the new Barn X farm so they have kept the elements like the creatures intact so the game has not not been Reboot. Everwild was subject to a whole bunch of study before being greenlight; you cannot announce a AAA developed by + 100 people for + 6 years without having a precise idea of the concept and the gameplay. Each creature was designed to correspond to a Gameplay loop. The rumors that Rare didn’t know what to do with Everwild were completely false. It’s always been a God Game x Viva Pinata type game where you take care of nature and animals.
I mean if we listened to the famous Insider Call of Duty would not have been announced Day One in the Gamepass
last year they said that Fable was in an early state and a few months later we saw the In-Game running on Xbox Series
Now the Insiders say that Perfect Dark is doing badly and others that the game is doing very well you don’t know who to believe anymore they are doing all this for clickbait.
But one thing is certain to say that Rare had no concept for Everwild and that they just worked on the art and the universe is a huge bullshit, games like that cost tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars you can’t greenlight a game without gameplay concept.
The concept of Everwild remains the same which was initially intended to take care of nature and creatures it may have simply evolved towards something richer, a change of engine like Unreal Engine 5 perhaps allows for advantage expanding the world, creating new creatures, maybe things like construction and crafting or housing like Palia but still with this basic concept of farm animals
Yes… and I wrote “reboot/reshuffle/whatever” since it’s very unclear what happened, in case you missed that part.
A reboot doesn’t necessarily mean you throw everything out the window either.

I think all the first party games they’ve shown so far at all their previous shows have a good chance of showing up (excluding Blade and OD). All those games have at least 4-5 years of development under their belt at this point. I don’t think their are any long shots besides the exceptions I previously mentioned.
I just hoped it would be single player. We have more than enough first party online / co op Xbox games IMO

After SoT I thought it should have been obvious that Rare is done with the single player focused stuff
The tagline of the studio is “creating stories by bringing people together” or something along those lines so they are done with single player stuff, although I fully expect you to be able to play Everwild “solo”

was planning on installing and checking it out, but then saw the 120+GB install size for the suggested stuff. I don’t think I have the space for that unless I move things around.
Gawd Damn. That looks great. This is what HALO should have had going on long ago, but unfortunately didn’t because the “fanbase” reaction.

Yeah, it’s so dumb.
Fortnite and CoD get Fallout stuff… Power Armors would have been awesome in Halo for example.

I really think they should sit the fanbase down and explain that they need to do this stuff to stay relevant and to keep the lights on so to speak. Essentially they need to tell them “Eat shit you whiny losers”.

I expect Everwild will be co-op (it has always showed multiple characters), but hopefully they can be replaced by AI (or nobody) for solo play through and also hope it doesn’t have any PvP stuff.
Would have to change a lot going from no combat to PvP though lol.

If they just give up on this unique experience stuff and just make Pokémon, I think people would welcome the pvp.
